Misstep Chaos

richard and jason snuck closer then decided to enter through the back pass. They made this entrance because of a possibility exactly like this. It was a small hole they broke in the wall through a rear room that lead to the left side of the back yard,

( if your looking at it from the front), they built a hatch over and reinforced with iron rebar in a grid format.

Ironically the group often hated that they built it because it always let in the cold air from out side. Contrary to today the boys were thankful they had suffered for its creation.

Since most of the creatures were in the front yard of the house and closer to the tree line, they had a chance to sneak through enemy line un noticed and get into the house.

Once inside the could immediately hear the raspy breathing of the one formally known as carol. She sounded like she had a hole bunch of holes in her lungs and her body was struggling to survive.

"If we leave her alone do you think she will die on her own?" Jason whispered in his lowest possible voice. But richard ignored it and was trying to harden himself for the task at hand.

As the exited the back room the saw carrol standing in the hall almost all the way at the end staring at a wall. she looked extremely creepy like something out of a horror movie. Her vestigial limbs seemed to be caressing the walls. As the did you could see bloody streaks her fathers blood still wet on the tips.

"I need one of those sharpened rebar, your the quietest and quickest, can you bring it back " Richard whispered to jason almost directly into his ear. jason nodded and a bead of sweat dripped down his forehead. Not because it was hot infact it was freezing and they were both skinny, no this was a cold sweat of fear.

As jason began sneaking towards where the weapons lie near there sleeping area he was silent like a mouse and had such precise placement he even surprised richard with his deft movement.

Richard stood completely still and waited for jason to sneak back to him with the melee weapon in hand.

As jason picked up the weapon he realized it was hooked on one of the back packs and it slid and caused the smallest sound since richard stayed put to keep an eye on carroll down the hall he could see her twitch ever so slightly at the sound but didn't move towards them.

Richard gave a thumbs up at jason and jason removed the bag from the rebar and came back over to were richard was.

Since the kitchen entrance was between carrol and richard, and mr stien had been killed in the kitchen there was a blood puddle in between richard and his target.

Richard decided to go around the couch towards the sleeping area his brother had just went and sneak up in her from there. Since he had watched were jason stepped to avoid making any sound he was abel to copy the process and was on the side of their bed about to take a new step towards his target.

But before richard could move jason was so intently watching carrol down the hall that he failed to see the toy car behind his foot carroll's toy car. He stepped backwards as slipped on hit falling on his back.

Instantly carrol flipped around and looked at him with red eyes before sprinting down the hall with all her limbs in the air. She also called all the creatures at the same time.

Richard understood what position jason was in and jumped over the couch using the rebar in both hands to stop the downward thrust of carols vestigial arm toward jason.

By this time jason had stood up and richard had pushed carrol over the couch. " steins room go the window!!" richard spoke only the essential words to relay where he wanted to escape from

Jason sprinted down the hall and into the room closely followed by richard.Jason noticed writing on the wall first, but richard read the words kill me in blood on the wall where carrol stood earlier. If richard would have had time to stop and cry before the words he would have. As richard turned to enter the room on his right he felt wind go by his neck and the hall wall to his left had be blown through from a ranged attack shot by carrol.

Jason dived through the window shortly after richard followed. as the began running towards the stream to the rear of the house without thinking jason turned back and saw the huge hole in the wall and carrol standing there preparing to shoot another ranged attack from her mouth.
