Yellow Hare

It was too late Carrol had him locked in her sights and he was going to be killed. Jason was terrified he could see his life flashing before his eyes. All he could think is " if i die please live on richard your the last of us...."

The sonic blast carrol shot slowly crept closer in his vision, time seemed to have slowed to a trickle so he could contemplate his actions.

It was inches from his face and about to hit him out of nowhere a golden yellow hare came running up it seemed to be running at the average speed of a normal hare before the apocalypse.

But the world around him other than the hare was still moving slow, which ment the hare was faster than it seemed.

The hare was running straight at Jason at full speed " well it looks like i was ment to die either way if i didn't get hit by carrol it would have been this evil bunny.... maybe i deserve this...."

When the bunny was right at his legs it stoped and nudged Jason's leg forcefully , all of the sudden time began to speed up and jason was being flipped his head barely missed by carrols ranged attack and his legs followed after it. flipping him into a standing position again. dumbfounded and frozen he looked at the yellow hare that was staring at him and it screeched and turned to run away, it was gone before he could blink.

The strangest thing about that superspeed hare was the fact it had no cracks and seemed intelligent. " did it just save me? jason thought. Immediately after this thought he raised his scanner to try to scan it as it was running away before it could start he was tacked by Richard.

"Dude move your a*# " Richard screamed as he rolled dragging jason to his feet and just barelying missing a paw from one of the beasts that had also been pursing them.

They began running towards the stream again both dodging the attacks from the creatures that had been right behind them , but for some reason carrol had stopped attacks and just stood and watched them run away.

The pair got to the edge of the rive and dove in without reservations. The group of creatures had to stand at the edge of the water and watch them float down stream. After watching for a while the beasts looked to have turned and headed back...
