Chapter 7

Maeve woke up before Alice and got up stretching, she looked at Alice soundly asleep and decided she should probably go and look for anything water-like. She left a note of course in the sand saying

-I'll be back in the evening, stay hidden!! No matter what, even if you hear me-

-Love Maeve

And then used the charm to turn herself into a full red fox and left.

She thought to herself "didn't know it could be any fox or wolf but thank god"

She was walking through the woods in animal fox form and saw some water then ran towards it, she first sniffed then drank some.

There was a low growl behind her though, "why are you drinking out of my water"

She turned and growled then realized, it was a gray fox and he was huge. She gulped but didn't show fear, "sorry damn" she tried to go around him but he blocked the way, "think you can just leave? Just like that?"

She stood her ground until she heard more wolves coming she quickly dove into the lake.

"Hey!!" He barked and then some wolves came up and laughed "you talking to yourself again Liam?" He growled and stared at the water for a sec and he met Maeve's eyes underwater and he could tell that meant "I beg you, don't"

He breathed in and said "no I'm not talking to myself"

Maeve started to get worried by his expressions and was about to move tell he was scratched and she heard them growl and bark theN walk away.

she peeked up a bit only to get yanked out of the water by the wolf, Maeve looked at him and smiled nervously. "H-hey buddy"

He growled and said "don't hey buddy me"

Her ears went down and she mumbled "you g-gonna eat me now or something?"

He rolled his eyes and spit her out, then went into her face and said, "you are too small~" he grinned widely.

"I am average height! l she huffed but calmed down, "can I go? Or no"

He thought for a moment and said "you can go, once you show me your human form sure"

She glared "why"

He smirks and says "I just wanna make sure I know who you are next time we meet"

She rolled her eyes knowing they won't meet again. She sighed and turned into her human form, luckily she still looked like a red fox but her sent- suddenly The wolf turned into his human form and pounced on Maeve and he grinned saying "now you smell delicious~"
