Chapter 11

Isaac jumped a bit and his ear went down,

" O-oh I'm sorry"

He sat over by Alice and waited for Maeve to cool down.

Beau went over to her and grabbed the amulet she was STILL holding onto and asked " does it have something to do with this?"

Maeve growled then covered her mouth, her growl was low and loud as a wolf's.

Beau didn't flinch he just nodded and handed it back calmly then hugged her again " I know you are scared and I know you can't control this..but you need to learn how and fast. Because I and Isaac are coming with you guys"

And then he whispered " plus your scary Alice"

Maeve looked at him and smiled " thank you"

He nodded and left her alone.

They all slept because they knew that at night is when the wolves hunt, and they had to hold Maeve's mouth shut after hearing howling near the cave area.

At dawn is when they set off and followed a river they hoped would lead them to the safe place, but Maeve didn't plan on staying, she wanted to end this war and make peace, whether it needs her life....or not.

They had been walking for a couple of hours and finally, someone spoke up

"So uh what do we do once we get there?"

Alice asked.

Maeve smiled a bit and said " we're going to stay there and figure out a plan"

Isaac pitched in and said, "what if the wolves find out and are there before we are?"

Maeve wondered why he would ask that but said "then we- actually I don't fully know yet"

Isaac mumbled and they kept walking.

——-1 hour later———

"Let's rest for the night"

Beau spoke at last

Everyone agreed and nodded, they looked for a good and safe place to hide for now and all took turns watching for any wolves.

When it was Maeve's turns however things got a little...weird for her.

"Hey Isaac it's my watch you can go sleep now"

He stretched and yawned

"Good because I'm tired"

He gave Maeve a hug and without thinking, she just hugged back, but then he looked into her eyes and leaned into her face and kissed her.
