Chapter 12
She flicked his nose after pushing him away, her face was also VERY red.
" That was my first kiss, you idiot!" Isaac just rubbed his head and said "Oh? oops? I didn't know." Maeve was getting pissed off
"Just go to bed dammit, and leave me alone"
Isaac left, and then Maeve sat on the edge after turning into her -red fox- form and looked around but she did seem kind of distracted, Then someone covered her mouth from behind and whispered, "Please don't scream I'm not here to hurt you."
She knew that voice, it was that wolf that almost ate her... or kiss her
He's confusing but she nodded and he let go of her mouth. Maeve then turned and pulled a knife on him, it was against his neck and she was pressing against his neck.
"Welp I knew that would happen"
He laughed a bit and she glared,
"Why are you here? I'm a fox you should hate me or want to eat me"
He shrugged and looked at her arm that was holding the knife.
"Look I was just passing by and saw you, never met a fox so I thought why not try and meet one ?"
Maeve glared and then laughed,
"That's a funny joke dude but I'm serious"
He slowly put his finger on the tip of the blade and moved it away, but Maeve only stared and was ready just in case.
He stood back to show he was really NOT going to hurt her and she watched and listen to what he had to say,
"Now then my name is Apollo, and may I ask yours?
Maeve hesitated but she then answered him,
"It Ma-Marry"
He snickered and copied how she said it "Ma-Ma-Marry, well nice to meet you Ma-Marry"
She glared but she was mad at herself for almost saying her name, she doesn't know how much info they know about her so she must hide her name as well.
"So Marry, what brings you here in the forest? don't's foxes have villages?"
She looked at the floor for a second and remembered the people she knew in her village.
"Oh did you have to leave?"
"Kinda"
He scouted a bit closer "Sorry to hear that, if it helps I was chased out of my own home."
She slapped her hand on her face, "The village was my home, you idiot"
He gave her pitying eyes and she smacked him with her tail and he laughed a bit.
There was something about him that made her smile, so she did.
His smile quickly faded as she smiled and he looked closely at her,
"I didn't know you knew how to do anything but flirt and try to kill people"
She smacked him with her tail again and this time they both snickered,
"I know your other friends are foxes and I'm trying to make one friend at a time so...can I meet you once a night?"
She remembered the cave and how long it would take to get to the secret cave and how it is wolf enchanted meaning know full blood wolf can enter, but she needed info about the wolves so she agreed.
He stood and put his hand out, "Friends?"
She hesitated but took his hand and nodded "Friends"
