Chapter 13

Maeve woke up to Isaac carrying her and she blushed and smacked him and squirmed around and he put her down after rolling his eyes.

Alice hugged her "Morning! I asked him to carry you because we need to get moving, and you were out as the sun at night"

Maeve rubbed her eyes and got up, stretching her tail.

"Just pour water on me next time geez, don't gotta carry me"

Alice laughed a bit and held Maeve's hand.

Beau was right beside Alice and glanced at Maeve with a -Help?- look and she knew what he meant. So she pretended to bump into Alice and she fell into Beau's arms and she nervously laughs,

"W-well hello there"

Beau smiled then asked, "Do you want me to let go, or are you going to just stand there?"

Alice blushed a lot and got out of his arms and Maeve saw him rub his arm that mostly touched her.

Maeve went towards Isaac and whispered "30 bucks on Beau asking her out first" with her hand out

Isaac smirked and shook her hand "You're on"

They laughed and talked until it was 10 pm at night, then they all lied down to rest.

Maeve remembered Apollo and said she will take the 12 o'clock watched.

Isaac woke Maeve up and said "can you watch early? I'm tired"

She rubbed her eyes and nodded, Isaac grabbed her arm and hesitated but looked at her,

"I'm sorry about last night, I shouldn't have done that"

Maeve smiled and nodded

"I forgive your dumbass"

He smiled and went to his bed and closed his eyes.

Maeve turned into the red fox form and then sat near a dark shadow-like tree just in case Apollo came back and hoping he would know what she was doing. But thankfully he did know and brushed his tail with hers in the shadows

"It's me don't worry"

Maeve smiled "I know"

"Did you just smile at my presence?"

She blushed and whacked him with her tail, and he laughed a bit but she hushed him and whispered" You have to be a quiet idiot"

"All right boss man" he whispered back they talked for a while and then the sun was starting to come up so Alice woke up.

"Alice: ok my turn to watch" She smiled and Maeve knew Apollo was still sitting there in the shadows so Maeve smiled and said "I slept in this morning so as punishment I'll take your watch as well ok? plus I'm not really tired"

Alice tilted her head "Did you have that bad dream again?"

She asked and Maeve remembered how bad or scared she sounded right now so she breathed and shook her head, "Nah just can't sleep, ya know?"

Alice smiled and hugged her, but hesitated to let go, she stood up and said "Remember you can tell me anything ok?"

Maeve nodded and Alice went back to bed, Maeve saw Beau's tail slide into Alice's and he purred in his sleep.

"You still there?" Maeve whispered after 15 minutes had gone by

"She saw me!?"

Apollo whispered with a kind of loud tone, Then Maeve relized that's why she said -you can tell me anything ok?-
