Synopsis

My life was anything but glamorous. I was an orphan, abandoned by my dead beat dad and my mentally unstable mother. I don’t remember much about them, I was only little, but my whole childhood I grew up in the slums. I had a weak body and a face that was hardly attractive. I was the epitome of despair. I grew up starved, and alone. I was bullied bypassing people that I didn't even know. Maybe they did this to relieve stress. I was constantly blamed for every little thing by others around me. “Oh it must have been that sorry excuse for a human who stole that bread,” or “it must have been that ugly mess. After all, he was abandoned by his parents.” I was thrown around repeatedly, and I had nothing to live for, but I couldn’t kill myself. I still feared death. I was a coward, but I still died. Starved, beaten, and alone.

It was dark and cold. But, I wasn’t dead. How? Ha... even the gods think I’m the scum of the earth and won’t even let me die and go somewhere peaceful. I couldn’t open my eyes though, they were glued shut, but despite this, I could tell that I was out of that dark place, because the light-flooded in through my closed eyelids. My arms were weak, and every noise was muffled. Even so, I heard a young female's voice.

“It’s a boy!”

It is pretty obvious that the writer is still a bit unexperienced, but so far I feel like this is going to turn into an amazing novel. It does remind me a bit of the begining after the end but i like how there are still clear differences. I do hope that the story continues to improve as it progresses. But over all i do think it will be an entertaining read.[img=recommend]
