The Extra's Rise

This is the rewrite of my first original novel. I am changing many things and I believe I can craft a much better story this time around. Feel free to ask questions below this review!

I was a fan of the old novel as well. And I read this novel till chapter 201 so far and really liked it as it is a big improvement. This novel isn't perfect but I really liked it. Firstly, the writing quality is top notch. No spelling mistakes, no grammatical mistakes and I personally like it a lot. This blends into combat scenes that are also written very well. It isn't anything revolutionary but the battle scenes are amazing. Secondly, character design. The character design is realistic, though of course slightly fantastical, and just super well done. I did think that some of the girls didn't make much sense to fall for the MC, but after reading more I trust that the author will tie it all in very well. Thirdly, the world background is very interesting and there is a lot of stuff and lore to explore. It is just a very immersive and interesting world I want to read more about. Finally, really good update stability. Now, one of the things I did not like as much about the novel was that the pace was a bit off. It slowed down quite a lot compared to the previous novel which I thought was nice, but at the same time, it felt fast. Just not a big fan of the pacing imo, but everything else is well done. Minor spoilers below: Finally, an MC that isn't an edgelord killing people for fun or having no emotions. This new MC is a breath of fresh air in this platform that I really love. Not only that, he is a very smart MC who is capable of playing high level mind games that I enjoy. I think that the thing author does with hiding MC's thoughts can be annoying, especially when it came to one of the female lead's, cause its hard to understand the MC's true thoughts, but I still loved it. The MC in this novel is a big upgrade. Overall rating: around 8.5-9/10 so far in my opinion. I don't read much on this platform but I loved reading this novel.

one of the greatest story i have read and the only real problem I get is that you should make casual conversation less dramatic to make it look more real sometimes conversation seems forced

it’s interesting, but not perfect. The story has action and mystery, which I like, and the main character feels real, The world-building is very detailed, The dialogue is good, but sometimes the characters talk too much when action should happen.

This is a masterpiece,for those who d are hesitant to read this,you won't have to switch your brain off,this is one of the few novels I've read where the mc's competent and he actually follows logic.

Very good novel. Writing quality is excellent. MC have good character development. ( MC initially was kinda dense about heroines feelings but later embraces his playboy side. ). He is Strong and is not afraid of offending others if need arise..He does not hide his powers and is not a simp. Good job on the rework author. Please keep writing the novel. We expect a lot more great works from you .

Are the chapters similar to the old one with just additional touch ups?

Is it recommended to read the original before reading the rewrite?

I've only been reading 12 chapters, and I feel like this is extremely well executed. I love how the main cast are actual people with actual goals and how Arthur just fits in the middle because he intends to stop the upcoming calamity. A simple, well paced, and worth while read!

Love the work keep it up. However I think you could have better and more in depth fight scenes. I also believe giving Arthur his own gift is a good idea ( only a recommendation ). Hope you keep updating tho top quality up to 201 chapters

It deserve 5 star not because Is a perfect. Sorry, altough It Is a very good One, but because the author had the audacity and the auto-critics abilities to know that he could do Better by rewriting his novel in something much more refined. you sir, deserve only compliments. please keep It up
