Each manager of TXT stood to the side as the group smiled for the reporters that snapped their cameras in hopes of featuring the rising stars in their media outlet. They were not as big as their predecessors, but they were still gaining popularity across the globe. With the enlistment of the four members of BTS gone, TXT carried the baton, and strived to make their hyungs proud. Jungkook remained behind, having been twenty-six at the time they choose to go as a group. They argued with him that he was still young, and encouraged him to focus on solo albums, directing and song writing. After listening to the reasoning, he eventually gave in, with the agreement that he would enlist at twenty-eight.
As expected, Jungkook had been as successful as everyone predicted. He not only released a solo album which gained recognition from recording artists and music charts in South Korea, but in other countries as well. He dabbled in directing, working with TXT and other idols within the company creating music videos, or special shows for fans. Everyone attempted to work with the talented, young man. He never spoke out loud, but he worked as hard as he did to keep himself busy. He loved what he did, however, he missed the other members.
With arrival of Jin and Yoongi, he felt a little more a peace. Unfortunately, they did not immediately return as he had thought. Jin requested that he be given two weeks to settle in. Jungkook had rolled his eyes at that comment knowing that Jin wished to have alone time with his fiance, Seo-yeon. No one denied this request, especially Jungkook. He knew how much they missed each other, and he only wanted the best for his Hyung and Yun-Yun.
Jungkook stood to the side with the managers. This moment was about his dongsaeng, and he did not want to take away the spotlight. They were up for an award at the Melon Music Award. He directed the music video for them, and co-wrote the song with the members input. Regardless of how he contributed, he would not get in the way.
"You know you can't hide from the press forever, Kook," Eun-ha laughingly whispered to him.
He glanced down at the petite woman. She had worked with TXT throughout their new album's development, and managed the scheduling between he and the group. He valued her opinion, and like he did with Seo-yeon, accepted her as another sister.
"They should focus on the ones up for the award," he shrugged off the comment, not wanting to cave into the reporters' selfish need to change the focus onto him. With the arrival of Jin and Yoongi, BigHit was facing eager journalists that wanted to find out what was next for the performers. Jungkook avoided the questions as well, allowing the other two to explore their options as openly as possible.
Eun-ha smiled at how considerate and humble Jungkook remained even with the continual success he earned in every career focus he tinkered with. The group walked into the building, with the managers escorting them.
"Jungkook!" the press called. He and Eun-ha stopped in their tracks. "Can we expect a comeback from you, Jin, and Suga?"
"Will you continue to go solo? Will they make a career shift?" The press begin to throw questions out rapidly. Eun-ha stepped forward, raising her hand to put a pause to the interrogation.
"Mr. Jeon is not at liberty to answer these questions, you all know this. All questions regarding BTS and their future should be directed to PR," she calmly smiled, and lead Jungkook into the ceremony. The crowd continued to shout questions, and sneered at Manager Cho Eun-ha. She was a force to deal with, never relenting, and always ready for the aggressive press.
"Thanks, noona," Jungkook said once they were seated at the round table with TXT. The ceremony had not begun. Everyone was finding the correct seating areas, and preparing to the opening.
"No problem," she grinned, "I know you hate having to answer those questions."
"Yeah, and they know it."
"Have you spoken to Yoongi or Jin this week?"
He perked up at the mention of his hyungs, knowing he could openly talk to her about them. "Jin and Yun-Yun said they were going to call us, and Yoongi over for dinner sometime this week. I think they finally set a date for the wedding!"
Eun-ha gleefully clapped, drawing the attention of the younger men at the table. They grinned at their manager, who they too considered a sister.
"I'm so excited! I haven't seen Seo since Jin returned, which I can't even be mad about," she pouted, "It'll be fun to hang out again."
"Yoongi said the same thing. That was the most surprising. I didn't expect him to be so enthusiastic about leaving his apartment."
"Absence makes the heart grow fonder," she dramatically stated, "In other words, he misses you guys."
"Will you two be able to get along long enough to hear the wedding plans?" Jungkook teased. It was well known among the group, and Seo-yeon, that Eun-ha and Yoongi bickered like children. After assisting in the drama the occurred years ago, the two tolerated one another for the sake of their friends. However, they found ways to get under the others skin. Yoongi's sarcasm, and straightforward attitude irked Eun-ha, who was more easy going, but could be just as sarcastic. Everyone sat back and enjoyed the petty arguments, only stepping in before one was on the verge of causing bodily injury.
"I won't let him interfere with my happiness for Seo. I'll do everything in my power to ignore his little slugs he likes to throw," she huffed.
"Noona, why don't you two like each other? I mean you two worked so good together to bring down Ae-cha and the press that leaked those pictures. I don't understand why you don't get along."
She sighed, "I don't know. Fortunately we only see each other when we meet with Jin and Seo, so I just have to get through those short hours."
Jungkook smirked and shook his head. The two were opposites, which he assumed played a part as to why they butted heads. Yoongi once commented that she was nosy, when they first met, which annoyed him. He didn't explain what exactly she was being nosy about, not wanting to explain to Jungkook about his very short crush on Seo. Regardless, this contributed to his fuse being short with Eun-ha. Each time he looked at her, he was reminded of that moment. She knew this as well, which caused her to childishly grin at him, and anger him.
Yoongi shared her same view. They may not like each other, and the tolerance for one another was limited, but they only had to deal with each other's presence for the short period that they are with their friends. Jungkook smiled recalling Yoongi's words when he was told they would all go to Jin and Seo-yeon's place.
"Ugh, I have to put up with that girl again? I'll only do it for Jin and Seo. It's only for a few hours. Thank goodness I won't have to see her other than when we gather. I don't know what I'd do if I had to deal with her on a daily basis!"
