Ambush

Meanwhile, on the the other side of the room where Group 2 resided. Walter had been trying to lay low while the others took their test. Unfortunately, being a close "friend" of an unusual monster, he had garnered the attention from a certain lady.

"Walter right?" Giving off a haughty aura, she had sat down just a meter away from him.

"..." Nodding only, he continued watching the tests as usual.

"Guess you're not much of a speaker, are you? Well, I only came to you because of that friend of yours."

"He's not my friend"

"Doesn't seem like it with how you two act around each other..."

"Look, if you're here to annoy me, then you're doing a really good job at it. If you want to become a friend of his and whatever, approach him not me." Frustrated, he stood up and began moving to another part of the room, waiting for his turn to take the test.

'Sigh, why is it so hard to make acquaintances here...' Feeling dejected after their small chat, she soon then recovered and had regained her known haughty look.

"It's your turn now, Soraya!"

Called that it was her turn, she made way for herself and approached the testing product while peaking at the unsocial Walter in the corner of her eye.

As ten minutes had gone by, Soraya had came out of the testing zone and revealed a slight smirk. Which if the average person looked at, they would think that she was rather cute.

Watching her make an impression out herself, Walters mood gradually worsened. Clicking his tongue, he started to move his gaze towards where Sam was standing. He soon noticed that not only himself, but Sam as well, had a terrible expression planted on his face as he glared at the blonde. 'Guess I'm not the only one that has bad luck with people...'

But he would never imagine in his life, that it was not out of annoyance did he have such an expression. But it was due to Sam secretly planning ways to play along with Daniel, that no one would expect.

'Guess it's my turn now...' Being the last member who hadn't taken the test yet, he made his way to the testing zone. Barely passing 8 minutes, Walter had passed.

Checking out his performance, he had passed without a problem. Especially when he had a score like that.

"Can we now talk properly this time, Walter Stone?" After finishing his test he had moved his head sideways, once again seeing the haughty Soraya in view who might be trying to find another way of annoying him.

"What do you really want Soraya?" Walter sighed.

"Hmmm, well honestly it's to make a friend." Standing there with a serious face.

A few seconds had gone by in Walters mind, as he then looked at her with doubt and confusion, not knowing whether to laugh or cry with how serious her remark was.

"Stop joking around, you must have plenty of friends. Even if they weren't serious ones."

"I don't." Once more, standing with a serious tone as if she wouldn't back down.

"..."

Sam was currently eyeing Daniels performance, deciding whether or not he should take in the movements he showed for his own test. But as he started putting them to mind, Daniel had finished with joy...

"Hahaha! Looks like I passed the test! Now look who's tal-" Sensing a figure staring at him from a distance, Daniel had turned quiet and made his way next to Joy.

'And I thought he was actually being serious, or maybe he really was.' Disregarding every single thought he once had about Daniel, he now saw him in a new light.

Now that everyone else had finished, it was finally Sams turn. Approaching the testing zone, he saw a flat dark screen lay on a table-like structure, with a flashing light in the shape of a palm, coming out every now and then. Placing his hand on the light, his hand started to be encased in this light revealing a number '1' on the front side of his palm.

Shaking his hand vigorously, he had muttered quietly, "What is this?"

[ The number which has appeared on your hand will be the significant factor in your test today. At the beginning of the test, which would be scenario one. You will be greeted by a set few of figures in the environment you will see on the screen in front of you. In each scenario, you are able to use any means necessary to eliminate the enemy which will come out to kill you. As common knowledge, the higher level scenario which would show on your hand, would bring you a larger amount of points. When you are ready, say 'Start'. ]

A robotic noise had come out of the TCT, explaining to Sam the rules and musts in the test.

Finally understanding, Sam nodded and whispered the command set to begin his test as he couldn't wait but see what it had prepared for him.

"Bring it on."

As he had said those words, the screen in front of him began to light up and show an expanse of a jungle from an overhead viewpoint. Two figures had begun to appear within the screen completely opposite of one another. One being called Ally, while the other being Enemy.

Seeing that there was only one enemy in the first stage, Sams mouth started to curl up. Making his figure move deeper into the jungle, he had decided to to confront the enemy directly.

With the gap between the two shortening to just an expanse of 5 meters, Sam rushed towards the enemy giving it one clean swipe. Although he had rushed towards the enemy landing a hit, his opposition had a calm expression.

Shackling sounds came rustling along the tree lines, until a three meter rope hiding right under his feet had tied around his leg, bringing him hanging upside down in a fast motion, not taking any longer than a second.

"Damn it!" Cursing, Sam struggled trying to break free from the rope until he saw a white line pass through his head in the screen.
