"Hmm, it seems you'll need some proof before believing me..." Saying this, Tom disappears completely, confusing Salazar as to what's going on.

As he was looking around the room in confusion, suddenly, he himself disappeared as well. Leaving just an empty room behind.

Appearing in a great hall filled with darkness, Salazar couldn't help but feel a tingle of fear roll down his spine as he surveyed his pitch-black surroundings.

"Welcome to the realm of death!" Tom's voice rings through the hall, drawing Salazars attention.

Turning around to see where his kidnapper was, Salazar saw Tom lounging on a bony thrown with a beautiful and deathly-looking woman standing dutifully at his side.

"What's going on? Where did you take me?"

"This," Tom points time the beautiful at his side. "Is Lady Death. The embodiment of death itself."

"Hello, Mortal." She greets him uncaringly.

"What?!" Salazar exclaimed in shock.

Ignoring Salazars behavior, Tom turns to Lady Death.

"Send him to an afterlife one-tier ahead of the one he is now and then send him to one a tier down. After he has seen each of them for a few minutes, bring him back here." Tom orders, shocking Salazar even further.

"Wait!" He screams as Lady Death waves her hand, sending him away as she was told.

After waiting patiently for about five minutes, Salazar appears once again with his mouth hanging open and a horrified look in his eyes.

"I take it the tier down afterlife wasn't very pleasant?" Tom asks with a small smirk on his lips.

"..." Not answering, Salazar stared at his descendant without words.

"Mhm, definitely not pleasant, so what's your choice? The carrot or the stick?" Tom asks.

"I-I..." Salazar couldn't find the words to say as he stared at the man before him.

The only question on his mind was 'how did his descendant become so powerful?'

To be able to command death as if it were a servant was something that no man should ever be able to do, yet his descendant sits before him, presumably on Death's throne, doing the impossible.

"I'll give you a minute. I know this can be very surprising." Tom says with an understanding nod. "If I were you, I would take the upgrade to your afterlife. I'm giving you a lot for so little after all. Take the considerable advantage I'm giving you and tell me about the locket."

Hearing Toms words, Salazar started nodding along with everything his descendant said.

Why should he guard the locket's ability so fervently when he can gain such a better afterlife. It's like instead of paying with money, you tell a small secret to get into Disney World.

Who wouldn't do that?

On the other hand, if Salazar were to turn the offer down, he would be thrown in a worse afterlife, which he did not like the look of.

"Alright, I accept. The Locket enhances spells done in parseltongue. Push magic into the locket while simultaneously doing the spell and it will be considerably more powerful than before." Salazar explains, ready to get into that better afterlife.

"Nice, thanks for the help. I may call you again for some favors, but until then, enjoy your afterlife." Tom says with a wave, gesturing for Lady Death to send him away.

Before Salazar could say his thanks or anything, he disappeared courtesy of Lady Death.

"You sent him to the better afterlife, right?" Tom asks, making sure there wasn't a mistake

Receiving a nod from his deathly servant, Tom bid her farewell and returned to his manor to test the power of the locket.

After testing a few parsel spells with and without the lockets help, Tom found that with the locket his spells were almost two times as powerful.

"Damn, this thing is pretty useful..." Tom muttered as he eyed the locket.

Not needing any more power than he already has, Tom decided to give the locket to Druella. She could speak parseltongue now, therefore she could also perform parsel magic.

Opening the locket and seeing the picture of his parents, Tom shook his head. He can't give the locket to her with this inside.

Taking his parent's picture from the locket, Tom searched his belongings for any pictures of him and Druella to take its place.

Not finding one, Tom sent a message to Lady Rosier through the mark.

Not long after sending the message, a Rosier elf appeared and handed Tom what he asked for before returning back to Rosier's manor.

That night, Tom opened a portal into Druellas room, where she slept soundly under the covers, and left the locket at her bedside with a short and sweet love letter.

The next morning when she woke up, Druella found what he left and read the letter with a smile on her face.

Opening the locket, she found a picture of her on the left and one of Tom on the right.

Of course, the letter explained the lockers powers, but Druella was far happier about the pictures in the locket than its powers.
