Next on the list of things that Tom needs to get done is Lord Black's campaign for Minister of Magic.

Things have been going well thanks to Tom writing Lord Black's speeches for every rally, but that didn't mean the numbers were totally in his favor.

In order to make sure he would be unequivocally winning, Tom would need to show his support for Lord Black's candidacy.

Now that he's out of school and Kamar-Taj has its leader back, Tom has more than enough time to start accompanying Lord Black down the campaign trail.

At least for a bit.

Not bothering to call a meeting with Lord Black, Tom uses his mark as a beacon, finding his follower in 12 Grimmauld Place, and opens a portal.

Stepping out of the portal, Tom sees a few of the Black family alongside Lord Black sitting around a fireplace drinking tea and chatting.

Being the first to notice his arrival, Lord Sirius Black stood and bowed in Tom's direction.

"My Lord, it's wonderful to have you in my home!" Lord Black says as his family members copied his movements, bowing respectfully as their patriarch did.

"Thanks for the warm welcome." Tom takes a seat in an open armchair as the portal closed behind him. "How has the campaign been going?"

Seeing Tom sit down, everyone else does the same.

"It's been going smoothly thanks to your ingenious ideas and words." Lord Black says as his wife orders their elves to bring refreshments.

"Good, how about the opposition?" Tom asks.

"They started copying us. All of them have their own merchandise and hold rallies as we do. Some have even started promising the same policies as us as well, which has definitely taken a good chunk of our voters." Lord Black explains.

"I thought that may happen." Tom mutters as he accepts a cup of tea from a grim-looking elf. 'Is that Kreacher?'

"Yes, after seeing how effective our campaign was, the vultures started picking apart our tactics and using them for themselves." Lady Black says with a disgruntled look on her face.

"That's fine. We'll be winning in the end anyway. Try as they might, but as soon as I announce my support for Sirius we'll be the eventual winners no matter what." Tom says with an uncaring shrug.

Hearing Tom's words, everyone got their hopes up for the time their family would run wizarding Britain!

Although, Tom would be the one pulling the strings in the end.

"Does that mean you'll be doing this soon?" Sirius asks hopefully.

"Yeah, since I no longer have school to worry about, I decided to accompany you to a few of your rallies. There I'll give a small speech and announce my support. I have some important things to do this summer, so I thought we could get this done early." Tom explains, bringing smiles to the Black family's faces.

"That's great, My Lord." Lord Black says excitedly. "I have a rally coming up this weekend in Godrics Hollow. You can meet me here for lunch on Saturday and we can go together after eating."

"Sure, that sounds good." Tom says as he finishes his tea and stands up. "I'll see you on Saturday, Sirius."

Before Tom could open a portal and leave, Lady Black stood and called out to him.

"Wait, My Lord!"

"Yes?" Tom asks, looking over his shoulder.

"Would you like to stay for dinner? It's almost ready." She asks and everyone looks towards him with a hopeful expression.

"Uhh... sure, but only if my fiancé can join as well." Tom agrees with a stipulation.

"Of course, My Lord. The more the merrier."

—————————————————

After having dinner with the Black family, Tom and Druella spent the few days before the rally together, relaxing in one of Tom's manors.

Druella wasn't with him for most of the time though, as she had to go back and forth to and from Kamar-Taj.

Her training under her future mother-in-law started with the end of school, and she has been studying dead languages and other books as Tom had at the beginning of his training.

When the time of the rally came, Druella had to be at Kamar-Taj, so she didn't accompany Tom to the Black family home.

After having a nice meal with Lord Black and his family, they apparated to an open field near Godrics Hollow.

Across the field, Tom could see thousands of wizards surrounding a platform, where Lord Black would be speaking from.

All of them are waiting patiently and talking amongst one another as Aurors patrol the crowd to keep the peace.

Only very few of the attendees caused any sorts of problems and those that did have been subdued and escorted out of the area.

Politics will always bring in those that are a bit too overzealous. Whether they be for or against Lord Black, anyone that causes trouble will be kicked out.

"Do you want to introduce me, or should I introduce you?" Tom asks Lord Black as they survey the growing crowd.

"Let's be honest, My Lord. I may be running for Minister, but you're a far bigger name than me. I'll introduce you." Lord Black says with a self-deprecating laugh.

"Alright, good luck. I'll apparate over when you announce me."
