Aquila's eyes flickered darkly as she looked at the woman.
'What are you trying to do?'
The woman obviously felt the dark aura around her, but she didn't know why. She would never guess that the girl in front of her saw through her spell the moment she casted it.
Because Aquila's own energy inside her body was straining itself to secretly filter the foreign energy to the best it could, the spell took longer than it should have. If Aquila's energy was stronger than the woman's, she would've been able to filter out the woman's energy the moment it entered her body, but because her energy was weaker, she could only filter some of it.
Chuckling softly, the woman spoke. "Haha, that healing spell took longer than I expected. I suppose I need to practice my healing more, huh? That spell took so much energy out of me."
'If I didn't know anything, I wouldn't find anything suspicious about you at all, old lady.'
Restraining her aura, Aquila smiled lightly as well. "Mm, indeed. Thank you, ma'am. I think I shouldn't bother you anymore."
"Haha, how could you be bothering me? I'm a healer. It's my job to heal people. You don't have to pay me."
"Ng... is that so? Then, thank you again."
Getting up calmly, Aquila stretched out her now healed right ankle before walking out the door. The woman didn't notice Aquila's dark smile as she walked out.
'Tsk, that should be the girl my niece told me about. That was easier than I thought. Though it's strange... it shouldn't have taken me this long, or this much energy... it's like her body was subconsciously rejecting my energy," the woman thought to herself with a small frown.
Walking out of her store, she walked to the side of the wall where she had first seen Aquila. Arriving, she got here just in time to witness Aquila jump over the wall. Landing on the top of the wall, Aquila looked around her before running along the wall. She wasn't sure if that assassin from before was still down there and wasn't going to risk it. Her body became a blur as she sped along the wall agilely.
The woman widened her eyes in disbelief.
'How-how did she jump up onto the wall in one go without anything boosting her?! The wall isn't the tallest, but...'
Shaking her head incredulously, she walked over to the wall. Just as she got there, a cloaked man dressed in all black landed beside her. He took off his hood, revealing his auburn hair and copper-colored irises that were narrowed in annoyance.
"Huh, what's wrong? Why do you look so irritated?" The woman asked.
"I want to kill someone, Himalia."
"And why's that?"
"I wanted to torture that girl for a bit, or at least make her cry out in pain, but I didn't even get to touch her!"
"Then what about that sprained ankle?"
"Don't know. It was already sprained when I found her."
Hearing that, Himalia had a weird expression on her face.
'He's the best assassin in our whole country, not just any small assassin! How did she manage to get away from him completely unscathed? And with a sprained ankle!
Guessing her thoughts, the man scowled before changing the topic.
"So what about you? Did you manage to use that healer tracker on her?"
"Yeah, I did. It took a lot longer and a lot more energy than usual though... almost like when a patient subconsciously rejects my energy sometimes. You don't think... she found out, could she?"
"Hmm, nah, I don't think so. If she knew you were using a healer tracker on you, you think she would allow you to?"
"That's true..."
"It was probably just her subconscious acting on its own to protect her. She does seem to have powerful senses since she managed to avoid my Soundless Dagger of Death and even discovered my presence just as I was about to attack her."
"Are you serious? That's so scary... your dagger has taken so many lives of powerful people who didn't even sense it coming, but that little girl could? She even sensed YOU?!"
"Yeah. How else do you think she could have gotten away from me? She was even so shameless, acting like she was going to fight me so that I let down my guard, and then she fled!"
"Pfft, hahaha! Who would have thought that's how the little girl escaped from you?"
"Shut up, will you, Himalia?"
"Pffft, okay okay, at least you did your job well and brought her to me."
"Tch, so what? My ego was hurt today because of her. I swear I'll kill her next time I see her."
"Sure sure... no one's stopping you anyway. Does she think she has the Silvermoon family to protect her and give her fame and wealth? Hah!"
Hearing what Himalia said, the man also smirked in contempt.

'What is going on... ever since I left Blue Moon City, I can't even have a day of peace. First, I run into a whole army of cultivators. Then, I run into a cloaked assassin, whom I escaped from only to meet a woman who used some sort of weird spell disguised as healing on me. I won't even be surprised if they're all in cahoots with each other...' Aquila thought to herself, recapping everything that happened in the past few days as she ran towards the capital city once again.
'Just watch as I arrive at the capital city and all those cultivators are just waiting for me.'
She had been running for perhaps a week ever since she arrived on this moon, and she hadn't eaten anything. She was honestly surprised that she hadn't fainted yet.
Well, maybe not that surprised. Because she almost fainted once due to starvation, she tried using her Moonlight energy to feed herself. It had no taste, but she was surprised to find out that she could indeed use it to energize herself. Therefore, she had been "eating" energy for the past week or so.
