Infiltration.

As night was approaching Osiris became active, ready to move when the sun was completely set. During the day he had been scouting the area for possible threats and landmarks that might indicate his precise location but alas he didn't find anything that stood out.

He had entertained himself during the day by watching how the humans went on by their day, some were in a hurry and others were relaxing and hanging out with their friends. It all seemed surreal to him, how could people relax knowing that danger lurks around every corner?

Osiris wished he could relax like they did but he couldn't, he didn't want to die and by doing nothing his progress would stagnate and others would grow stronger than him. He wasn't planning on losing the 'headstart' he had on the humans and other monsters.

When the sun had finally set Osiris stood up whilst carefully scouting out his surroundings. nothing should've changed since he would've noticed it but you can't never be too careful. Luckily nothing stood out and Osiris started moving using his dark colored skin to keep hidden in the night.

Whilst approaching the quickly assembled walls of the settlement Osiris kept to the shadows that were made by the spotlights. His footsteps muffled under his feet by the snow and his breathing was fluid and steady. Nothing should give his location away as he was practically invisible to the naked eye.

Osiris' quick steps and fluid movements made it so that he had quickly reached his goal, a dark spot near the wall where there weren't any guards or other people present. The wall itself was relatively low yet sturdy, it should be able to keep out most mutated animals but monsters should be an exception. Most monsters had some sort of sharp and deadly claw or teeth that would allow them to cut through this wall. The wall wasn't some sort of castle wall or something, it was more like a fence but a wall nonetheless.

Osiris made use of his razor sharp claws to slice open the wall, it cut through it without any resistance. He could've just jumped over it but people might see him, even when he was a distance away from guards there were still cameras, though he doubted that they were infrared cameras otherwise the alarm would've already been rung.

Entering through the hole he made Osiris was finally inside the settlement, all this took under three minutes of being sneaky. Osiris wished he could've just charged head first inside the settlement but he wasn't looking for attention but discretion. Currently he was standing behind what looked like metal containers that were shipped by big container ships. On it were written many things but the date of today would be very unlikely so he ignored them and quickly made his way using the shadows to the big looking house near the containers.

This time he had to be more careful than he did whilst approaching the settlement as there were many guards present. Although there were cameras there wasn't much Osiris could do to avoid them, he tried his best but once he would be spotted it was only a matter of time before people were alerted.

Although the ground was still covered in snow it was much more wet than when he was in the forest so he made sure not to step in any puddles or slush. (A/N : A mixture between snow and water, that brownish 'snow' you see besides the road.) As that would make unnecessary noise that would alert people to his presence.

The big building was coming closer by the second as Osiris' speed was relatively quick, not his fastest speed but the tempo was high. Avoiding any possible place where he might be seen made his approach to the big building smooth. He quickly looked around and timed perfectly when to jump on the roof avoiding making a sound when landing on the roof. The gravel under his feet made crunch noises but it couldn't be helped. Unfortunately there wasn't any snow covering it as the warmth from inside the building had melted it away but that didn't keep Osiris from moving about.

He had already seen an open window from when he was approaching, not to misunderstand the window was slightly tilted open as to not lose too much of the heat from the inside so he couldn't enter from there but it would allow Osiris to listen in on any possible conversation that would be held inside. Not that his hopes were high that people would be having a conversation near the open window but with his hearing capabilities and by the way the building looked important he didn't cross out the possibility. By the way he meant that the building looked important, it was the biggest building in this area.

Osiris made sure whilst he waited that whenever someone looked in his general direction that he would lay down on his stomach avoiding any possible gaze that might linger on him and the people inside didn't make him wait too long as after some time the noise of a door opening and multiple footsteps was heard.

Osiris let out a sigh of relief that he didn't have to wait too long but he was still nervous. The possibility of the people saying something along the lines of 'today is XX date' would be really low and pretty weird, but he hoped he could make out the date from the information that would be said during this meeting.

"Today hasn't been very productive *Sigh*" A tired voice came out from the room. When there wasn't an answer or reaction to this sentence Osiris imagined the people inside the room all collectively nodding.

"It has been three weeks since we finished setting up camp here and we haven't seen a singly thing indicating that it is here."

"Mark, the reports say that its signature was spotted around this forest a week ago just like it did for the fast few weeks but about three to four days ago something changed." Instead of the tired voice this voice sounded way more alert and less tired.

"You and your damn reports, reports are nothing if we can't find it damnit. I don't care if it's changed. I want to know its exact location" Annoyance was very clear in his tired voice as he started to mumble insults at his colleague.

"Calm down you headless chicken, don't start arguing like you two always do I have heard enough of it this week." An annoyed female voice was heard, and this voice was able to quickly shut up the two people who were starting to bad mouth each other. 'These three people were like a comedic act' resisting the urge to chuckle incase of someone capable nearby.

*Ahem* "Anyways, over the past six months we have recorded every single signal that has something to do with the 'recent' changes and as of yet this one is the most violent out of all so far and until recently it was growing more violent by the day until it suddenly stopped about four days ago."

'Wait, are they talking about me?'...
