A class to remember

I sat in class looking frustratingly at my failure in my hand. The test results were out and I did poorly in history, but better in English language.

"You think this class is a joke! Do you?" She flared. "While you marched with red flags, celebrating the Republican Day, do you even know what it means?"

The whole class was quiet to a fault. With every head bent in shame, it was safe to say that we were all mourning the failed test until Hugo's voice broke through the silence,

"I think I know the meaning."

"Shut up Hugo." Oscar spoke for the first time.

"Why should he shut up." Elvira defended, glaring at Oscar from the front row.

Sergio, the man seated beside Hugo added, "He has the right to speak."

Others supported, echoing the same words.
