Dining together

"Keren...ha..puk!"

"Yes! Mark." I turned to him, as I picked up the empty coffee mugs from the round centre table.

"Can you come over please?" He placed the cutleries by the sides of the four flat crockeries

"Oh!" I rushed to his aid, helping him with the weighty China. "This is too heavy for you."

"Mum says I'm a superman."

"Superman." I cheered, "let me see how strong you are." I tickled him on his flank and he shook like a leaf on a stormy day.

"No Keren No. haha." He exposed his incomplete teeth and we both guffawed, while he struggled to get away.

For a boy of six, he was more responsible than I was when his age. He practically helped his mom in the kitchen, arrange his toys, water the flowers in the yard, and few more chores. Mark was simply lovable.
