Chapter 5

The first thing I hear when I wake up is yelling. "I am not cheating on her!" Priya must have come to find me and take me home. The only thing I could do right now was cry. I was so confused and frustrated at my current situation that thinking straight was not an option.

"Priya she's suffering!" Austin was getting defensive over me. It was sweet really.

I sigh heavily and get off the couch I was curled up on. I was less comfortable without my living pillow. "Austin, Priya stop please," I whine leaning on my angel just to get shoved off and falling against the person who took care of me while I was emotional.

I start to cry a little feeling broken by the rejection from the person I love most. Austin could feel it, how tense I was, how frail my emotions were, how much pain I was in. "Lils let's go inside I'm not letting you go home to her tonight." I was picked up and carried to a room falling asleep yet again. This is not how I pictured our relationship going. It fell apart before it could even start.

Austin sits close to me and waits until I fall asleep before leaving.

AUSTIN'S P.O.V.

Lilith is fragile and needs someone to care for her properly. Priya isn't that person, Lilith can't breathe or cry to Priya. After making sure she was asleep I left the room with a heavy sigh and pulled out my phone calling Nadine.

"What's up Austin?" Nadine sounded confused.

"It's Lils. Her girlfriend showed up at my front porch demanding she come home." taking a deep breath I prepare to continue my story. "I told her girlfriend that Lilith is not coming home until she is mentally stable. The bitch went on to yell at me and tell me that Lilith is cheating on her with me. I retaliated and that's around the time Lilith woke up and tried to stop the fight. Instead, Lilith was pushed by her own girlfriend and had an anxiety attack due to PTSD."

"She's a fucking bitch." Nadine sighs and then I hear rustling in the background. "I'll be over there soon." the phone beeps indicating the call was ended on the other side.

Putting my phone down, I look upstairs just as I start to hear soft sniffling. Standing up and running up the stairs on impulse was what flooded my head. If id felt like this about this girl months ago I would have told myself I was crazy.

As I approach her door I hear muffled voices. It sounded as if she in a call with someone.

"Lilith?" I knocked on the door gently. To which I received the door opening then hearing Lilith run back to her bed. "Are you on call?" I stepped in and quietly closed the door behind me.

"Mhm…" were the only things I got out of her. I pat her back giving her the assurance that she needed. She needed to know she was cared for and supported.

"Can they hear me?"

"Mhm…" judging by the voices that were on her phone, it was our friend group on the discord server.

I picked up the phone and put it on speaker. Sure enough, it was the server, "Hey guys" the next thing I hear is inaudible greetings. Taking advantage of Lilith's mod abilities in the server I mute everyone. "Has Lils told you guys what's going on?" I unmuted everyone and then waited for a response.

"She's only been crying." pat says, keeping calm even though we all know that staying calm in this situation is hard. "We are all worried but she isn't talking." I could hear the others' agreement even if they were silent I could hear it. Nodding I rubbed Lilith's back and tried to get her to sit up. To which I gave up for fear of breaking a bone.

"Austin mind letting us know what's going on?" Conner asks me knowing Lilith well and living in California must be hard on him. Conner was Lilith's friend when she moved to where she is now but a few years later he moved south and they were unable to stay in close contact.

"It has to do with Priya." it's hard for me to talk about this because it's really not my place. It's like the time she told us about her health and her coming to explain more in-depth about what's going on. "Let's let things play out and be here for her. That's all we can do right now."

The last thing I heard before leaving the voice channel was a bunch of thank yous. Turning her phone off and putting on the charger next to her head where she always has it when she sleeps. I stood to leave when I felt her grab my wrist. "Don't leave me" she mumbles quietly causing a slight smile to form on my lips.

"Your so cute Lils…" whispering to myself before sitting down on the bed next to her. Might as well sleep since I'm here. I lay down on top of the covers to allow Lilith her privacy and drifted off to sleep.

LILITH'S P.O.V.

Nothing could compare to the comfort and warmth I felt when woke up, well aside from the pounding headache from crying so much. I look to the side and see Austin laying next to me. I feel a slight pain in my heart formed as I was hoping it would my angel next to me. I couldn't remember clearly what happened before I fell asleep but all I knew was that I was crying and Austin coming into the room.

"How'd you sleep?" wow questioned first thing after I wake up.

"Good I just have a pounding headache from all the crying from earlier." I groan before clinging to him. I'm a clingy friend so something like this is complete to all my friends.

"Lilith I think you should Priya go."
