Tutorial package (2)

"Okay, is it the enchanted gear?" Jimmy speculated.

"It's about the enchanted gear!" The Santa in the video spoke. "Now what do you think it is?" He asked.

"Hmm, well it should be an apparel that gives me perks, right? And it seems like it does… So yea." Jimmy unconsciously replied, then realized that the Santa he saw before him was just a video and felt stupid doing so.

"Well, it is a grand apparel that would give you an amazing stat increase once you wear it. It's really good… Like, mighty fine looking… Or at least it was supposed to be." Santa spoke with a disappointed look on his face.

Jimmy sighed. "Okay, what sort of mess did you do with that, huh?"

"You see, the apparel we were preparing for you, should have been completed by now. However, due to some technical reasons, we lagged behind on our schedule. So, we ended up with nothing on our hand." Santa spoke.

"Hmm, I should expect that sort of stuff from you by now." Jimmy wasn't disappointed or anything. At this point, Santa did so many crazy things that he didn't even care about it. "But wait, if I don't have the enchanted gear, why the hell does it say that I have one?" Jimmy wondered as he stared at his status box.

"So, since we had nothing on our hand, we decided to put the stat increase perk on the apparel that you were going to wear once you showed us that you deserve the system." Santa paused for a bit and smiled.

Suddenly, Jimmy understood what he meant by that. "Don't you dare! No! This is not happening!" He cried.

"And to my surprise, when Jimmy finally proved his worth, the apparel you wore was a Santa costume! Honestly, I'm flattered by the gesture, you know? Anyway, there you go, that's your enchanted gear." He replied.

"Damn, I should just completely stop hyping in any stuff that this old guy says. Like the costume isn't even mine! And you want me to walk around in it, even though Christmas is over? You are relentless… Wait, maybe if I don't wear the beard, it might look cool.... The suit is already a bit different from the other ones. So, it might be possible…" Rather than complete displeasure of what was happening, Jimmy slowly started accepting things as it is.

"However, the costume is a complete set though. So, if you don't wear even a single thing, you'll lose the set advantage. Even the beard, fu~fu!" Santa on the video laughed as if he knew what Jimmy of the present was thinking.

"This guy! Now, I have to wear the costume whenever I have to do a mission, so that I get an advantage? This is crazy… But, sometimes, I feel like a man's supposed to do crazy stuff." Although, angry about what happened, he wanted to accept things as it is more than ever, since he had no chance to escape.

"So, now that that's done, let's just take our focus off of the status window and focus on the next great power that you have." Santa spoke.

"Great power?" Jimmy had no idea what he was talking about. He guessed it would be the system override things that he saw when he looked at the mission screen.

"Jimmy, whether it's me or it's you, the one using the system I made, our goal is to provide happiness to this world and support everything that's good in this world. However, we can't do it alone. If I was assigned with the task of bringing happiness by myself, I would've rebelled, you know? However, God offered me elves that could help me every time Christmas comes. Like, they are absolute work horses, you know? It's really fun to have them around… For the loneliness I feel at times as well." Santa looked around to the elves who performed the grand spectacle to inaugurate the tutorial video. His eyes said that he was eternally grateful for their presence. The elves looked at him with the same grateful eyes as well. Any normal person would've cried after seeing such an emotional bonanza.

However, Jimmy was a bit of a weird guy. "So, you're gonna give me some of your elves or something?" He wondered.

"Therefore, I feel like it would be great for you to have someone to help as well. That's why you have the right to assign Santa's little helper system to anyone who deem to be worthy and you trust. Of course, trust is an important factor, because most of the time, the helper's have to lurk in the shadows as Santa gains the spotlight. So, they should be someone who won't betray you or has a serious inferior complex." Santa explained.

"Hmm, so I not only have a system, but I also have the ability to give someone a system." Jimmy thought deeply about it. He basically didn't trust a lot of people. He didn't join the delinquent gang because he trusted them or something, he just wanted the people picking on him to back off. So, for him to trust someone and assign this system was difficult. Especially because he was kinda doubtful if someone would follow him when they learn about his inability to level up. Like, all the helpers will level up and surpass him and leave him to dust; he was kinda afraid of this possibility.

"So, to show a demonstration, the system will pick the first member of your helper squad!" Santa proclaimed.

"What!" He had no idea this would happen. Well, it kinda made sense because when you start something like a Gacha game, you are awarded with some weak characters first before you could ascend yourself. However this wasn't a Gacha game, which meant the system was gonna pick a live human as his first helper. However, he couldn't think about a single person whom he trusted and vice versa… Until he saw the screen and realized what was happening. "Piers!" He shouted.

"Yea!" He heard Piers running towards his room. "Hey, you'll never believe what just happened!" Piers looked seriously excited as he jumped around Jimmy.

"Let me guess. A screen popped up before you that asked you to become Santa's little helper or something, right?" Jimmy asked.

"YEA… Wait, how did you know that? Were you invited to be Santa's little helper too? Is this a Christmas miracle for us unawakened people?" Piers was extremely happy that his friend (?) was able to get the system as well.

"Umm, that's not it though." Jimmy replied.

"Hmm?"

Jimmy pointed to himself and replied. "The Santa that the system talks about is me… Well, my system to be exact.

"EH!"

"So, let me just put this into perspective. You have become one of ten heroes that God chose because Santa vouched for you and Santa ended up creating a system for you that you would only receive once you help someone and the person you helped turned out to be me and now your system can assign helpers for you and it picked me?" Piers summarized.

"Basically, yea… Damn, when you put it like that, I feel like that the last few chapters could've just shortened into a few words." Jimmy sighed.

"What?"

"Ah, nothing… Well, what did you do with the invite?" Jimmy asked.

"What did I do? I accepted it right away!" Piers replied.

"You idiot! You understand what you did? You should never do something like that without thinking a bit first. Like what about the terms and conditions and perks. Look how you ended up! You'll have to work with me and help me all the time. This wouldn't have happened if you had taken some time!" Jimmy shook his head in dismay.

"Hmm… But, what's so wrong with that? You helped me and I get to help you now, And on top of that, I have awakened power for real now, which is cool as well! I may have never got the power if not for you, you know?" Piers spoke in a grateful tone.

"Well, that's not the case though. But anyway, I just helped you once, you don't have to feel so thankful about it." Jimmy replied.

"You're wrong though! You helped me multiple times from the delinquents though!" Piers spoke.

"Not really. I was genuinely picking on you! So, don't think too much about it." Jimmy replied.

"But, that really helped me though. They didn't pick on me now, did they?" Piers asked.

Jimmy sighed. "Damn, you're too much of an optimist that I can't even give out a counter argument because you'll start refuting it."

"Well, rather than being optimistic, I'm just aware of things that happen around me… at times, of course." Piers smiled.

"Why won't you just accept him as your helper, huh?" A voice echoed in the room.

"Huh? Did you just hear that?" Piers asked Jimmy.

"Ha, you were secretly hearing everything we talked about, huh?" Jimmy spoke.

"Who's hearing us?" Piers asked.

"Well, the guy who created this system. What? You wanna see him or something?" Jimmy asked upon seeing Piers' shining eyes.
