CHAPTER 80: That I Am Shaken This Much

After a sigh he looked at each of them, "Since she had chosen to show it here, I know you understand she didn't want anyone else to know of it."

The rest of the heads were painfully aware that she wants to keep it even to her closest friends.

"I finally understand why she didn't want for other people to know," Asherton started.

He couldn't understand it then, because it was not her fault.

Why would she want to be hated instead of letting them know that she was a true hero?

Even if that was her sister, to be hated after killing a beloved, isn't that even more painful?

But now he knew why she chose this path.

"She didn't want to be pitied, to be looked on as if she would just crumble away. Because if that was the look she would receive, she knew she would go insane."

That what happened to her was indeed nothing but pain.

Anyone would have lost it and then the rest knowing of it, their thoughts would be different as well.

Their attitudes would change and they will start walking around her in tip toes.

She didn't want any of those, she'd rather be hated than be pitied.

She'd rather be looked at indifferently than be looked at as if she should be someone who lost purpose in life.

"As if she should just accept the fact that she was pitiful and should be depressed instead of going forward," Asherton finished.

And all the rest could understand why he said these things.

If they start acting and looking at her with pity then what would happen to her resolve?

They should also stay strong, stay strong for her as well.

"She is so young yet so mature. So young yet so strong. No one would really be able to compare to her at all," Ferdinand shook his head and said in defeat.

He was being eaten up for so long, but this time he knew he should stop.

Because if he don't then Saphira would lose it as well.

He needs to be strong not just for his grand son but for her as well.

This day marked the point where the older ones decided to mature even more.

"I'm home," Saphira called after stepping in their house.

Back with her cheerful voice as if the one a while ago was but an illusion.

"Welcome back," Carmilla called from the living room.

"Oh, I can smell something nice. Are you having-"

She stopped when she saw that it was inded a tea party with once again the Alphius couple.

'Of all times, why now that I am shaken this much?' she thought before returning her usual smile.

"Good afternoon," she greeted them.

"Hello, dear," Fatima Alphius greeted back.

"I'm sorry mother, father, I came home just to get my sword so..."

Archie smiled, "Don't worry go on, I know you still have training. We won't stop you."

She bowed down and went up to her room.

She planned to rest but she can't in this place for it seems that the tea party was just starting.

She'll just go and leave, maybe she can just rest on the wall while waiting for the rest.

After getting there, she went to the top most spot where the watcher would be.

This shocked that watcher but chose to ignore her.

He had heard of what she had done to the people who tried to bully her in this place in the past.

He'd rather ignore her than be stripped off of his title or worst be killed.

But he was shock to see that she just looked for a spot before sitting down and closing her eyes.

'Eh? She came here to sleep? Wha- What's going on? Is this lazing around?'

He was once again shock when a wind barier surrounded her allowing her not to hear anything from the outside.

Saphira, of course, felt it.

Though knowing that there is no malintent behind this barier, she didn't move.

She can tell it was giving her a peaceful spot to rest.

Silently being grateful but at the same time noticing something she fell into unconsciousness.

"Si- Sir Lancelot," the knight saluted.

"Seeing how pale she still looks, she must really be very tired. But seeing her here, she must be unable to rest properly else where," Lancelot replied before looking over the walls.

"Sir, why are you here?" the knight couldn't help but to ask.

Lancelot was the one overseeing the northern border while this wall is close ot the western border.

"Why? Well since I have the strongest wind barrier around here I was asked by my cousin to lend my help to her."

His cousin being Stormie's father, Ernest Fletcher.

The knight didn't understand why these people who are among the top of the Empire, do this much in taking care of the young lady who was ostracized by the people of that same Empire.

"You are looking at me as if wondering why I am doing this," he chuckled but his eyes remained not laughing.

Even he didn't know.

He accepts her as someone strong and capable enough.

But even he was still against accepting her after knowing that her sister was so easily consumed by darkness.

Raynisha was Saphira's idol after all, knowing that she grew with that kind of person as the person she look up to.

He couldn't help but think that she would end up being the same.

But when Stormie's father get to him a while ago, what he saw was a man not of pride and power but of sadness.

Far different from the cousin he was so used to.

Instead it was very different and he could feel it in himself that he didn't like it one bit.

"With her breathing a while ago, I can tell that she really needed a proper rest," Ernest said upon meeting him.

This on itself made him irritated somehow.

But he couldn't show it to Ernest.
