Just as Hedley said, Kyne came for Saphira the next day.
"I am amazed sir, you never once accepted my sparring request," Saphira spoke.
Kyne shook his head, "You do understand, I am someone who is much more focused on my ability than my sword. I won't be able to keep up with you."
Adding to the fact that he had witnessed her speed when Hunter was handing his punishment.
He felt a wind passing by him and when he looked back, the door was opened and Hunter's sword was stopped by hers.
With the way Hunter was rampaging, it is no longer a shock that even his strength was doubled but Saphira was able to stop him at that moment.
Kyne was never the sword using one, he is stronger than most knights and captains but when it comes to the four of them he was the weakest.
He knew it would take his all just to stop Hunter back then.
"Then I guess, today it is a battle more inclined on the magical abilities?" she asked preparing herself for another bout that will surely pain her whole body.
'Though this was my plan, I still end up suffering a lot. I will surely be lazy after this. I will for as long as I want,' she declared in her head before the two of the begun their bout.
This time, a lot more people are watching. Not just knights but even those who have nothing to do for the day.
It was just a day ago when one general accepted her challenge yet here she was once again fighting with another.
Even Carmilla and Archie came to watch.
They didn't expect that she would issue a challenge towards the generals that even Archie have no confidence in going up against with.
It took longer than her battle against Hedley but towards the end, Saphira was able to win due to her swordsmanship.
"To think I would lose, did I just lose face here?" Kyne asked her.
"No, sir. I can barely stand right now," Saphira replied.
Because that was the truth of it.
She really can barely stand.
'They are strong but we will be facing much stronger demonic beasts and opponents. At this rate I am still lacking a lot,' she thought.
"I think I am happier to see frustration in that carefree face of yours instead of winning against you completely," Kyne commenetd seeing her look.
Saphira wiped away her frustration and grinned, "If you win completely then you would have seen me even more frustrated though."
Kyne shook his head, "You'd be grinning the same way if I were to crash you completely. Saying it was inevitable or something."
Saphira laughed before sitting down on the ground.
"Hey," Kyne was shock to see this.
"I told you sir, I can barely stand. I really am tired right now."
Kyne shook his head and went his way, Saphira was approached by Nixon and was helped with her bruises.
Kyne saw them that he knew he didn't need to help her.
"You really are overestimating yourself," he couldn't help but say.
"Well, there is nothing I can do about my strength. I am not invincible after all."
She thanked him after he helped her before standing up.
"Are you too tired?"
She looked back to see that it was Scott Mitchell, the general of the southern border and one of the top water ability users.
"Are you here to accept my challenge sir?" she asked with a smile.
"Saphira!!" Nixon wanted to stop her.
She just came out from a fight, she wasn't fully recovered.
And she can barely stand moments ago.
"Outside, once we are faced with our real enemies, no one will wait for us to recover Nixon. This is a good opportunity to test your full capability," she replied.
Nixon could only swallow his other words.
It was the truth, no one will wait for you when you are facing your enemies.
Scott raised an eyebrow but a look of approval appeared on his eyes.
He was the quietest among the four of them.
And he wasn't willing to accept this challenge but since the other two already accepted it, then he will follow.
"Then drink this at least," Ridge who was also there gave her a potion.
Saphira didn't reject it, it was a reenergizing potion.
"Thanks."
The two of them stepped back, together with the rest of the knights.
Kyne who was about to leave turned to see that she was facing Scott.
"He didn't even let her breath," he sighed but still decided to watch.
"I see that you really are a responsible person," Scott commented.
"Nevertheless, still reckless. Is what I can see that your eyes are adding to those words sir," she replied taking a few breaths.
'Water ability right when I have weakened a lot, quite a hassle to have,' she thought.
Scott didn't wait any longer and rushed forward.
His attacks were heavy, that much Saphira could tell as she was left to keep on defending herself for the time being.
"That child," Carmilla felt like a headache was coming.
"She was still a lady, why is she forgetting that?" she added.
With her duties, she looks like a man ready to take on anyone.
"Now I am worrying for the time that they are to take on the rest of the darkness outside of this Empire," Archie added.
Though no matter how much they worry, there is no point because Saphira is just too stubborn right now.
They watched her being pushed back over and over again.
Scott used water bubble to enclose her but Saphira increased her own body heat to allow the water to boil to evaporation.
"Sorry sir, no matter how unexpected I don't plan on losing without putting up a fight," she coughed.
She could see that he wanted to end this instantly.
Seeing the vigor in her eyes, Scott felt a fire in him being ignited.
He thought this was simply child's play and that the other two just played with her.
But it seems that she really was serious in her challenge despite having some ulterior motive.
