CHAPTER 85: Aren't Games For Me As Well

Saphira couldn't help but swallow when she saw that fire in his eyes.

'I really will completely laze around after this. I will not do anything until we depart,' she complained.

She wanted to do this fast because she thought her time was short.

But being in this situation, she just wanted to complain.

Even though she brought this upon herself.

'Then use my fire.'

She almost lost focus when Vermilion spoke to her.

'Don't suddenly start speaking to me,' she complained.

'What? We have been doing this for a good while now,' Vermilion Bird replied grumpily.

'Well, you had been quiet since I showed you to the heads,' she answered.

"You are unfocused," Scott pointed out just as he hit her in the stomach.

Saphira ended up flying back and coughing up.

Saphira didn't answer the words that Scott said and chose to focus instead.

She ignored Vermilion Bird and continued fighting in her own way.

She will not use his fire, Vermilion Bird's fire was red in color.

If she uses it then she would tell the whole world that Vermilion Bird is alive.

'This stupid inconsiderate bird,' she thought.

When the host wants to, she can speak through her mind with her beast but when she didn't want to then tthe beast won't hear her thoughts.

'I can somehow feel that you are insulting me as of this moment.'

She ignored him and continued her battle.

Scott could see that she was reaching her limit but her movements didn't drop at all.

Instead she moved differently in order to cope up with her tiredness.

Moving around not trying to be confronting him up front but in an evasive way.

'She really is worthy of all the acknowledgement she received,' he complimented in his mind.

He himself are getting tired already as well.

With how much power he used at the beginning, it was a no lie that he went over on the first half of their battle.

Just as he was about to give her the final blow, Saphira suddenly smiled and squatted before raising her sword up to his neck while his was pointed at her nape.

"A tie, I guess?" she asked.

Scott sighed before taking back his sword.

He stared at her seriously, "Why are you doing this?"

Saphira looked at him, "I think you are thinking too much sir. I simply wanted to understand my strength more before leaving. This will allow me to see how much more can I improve."

Scott squinted his eyes, "Hedley was right, you are amazing in hiding your true intentions. For now we shall accept that explanation. But we do wish that you won't include us in your games too much."

"These aren't games for me as well," she replied seriously.

He turned without another word.

"Saphira!!" Nixon and Ridge rushed when she almost collapsed face first on the ground.

"She's asleep?" Ridge spoke seeing her even breathing.

"It seems that way," Nixon replied.

Both didn't know how to react about this, what more for those who are watching?

Even with numbers they can tell that they would not be a match to her.

"Seeing her being tired, you chose to attack with everything in order to finish it fast but you didnt realize that she was deliberately taking her time making you tired towards the end," Kyne commented when Scott got close to where he is.

Scott just looked away.

He had indeed underestimated Saphira Fiamma.

He only realized it when he saw her smile at the end of their battle.

Despite her tiredness she still chose to prolong their fight because she saw that he was going all out just to finish it fast.

"Truly terrifying," Kyne added as he watched Archie and Carmilla taking Saphira home.

"And what about Lancelot?" Scott asked after a bit.

"Still no news if he'll accept," Kyne replied.

"Hmmm, well it was her own selfishness anyway, we just played along," Scott commented.

"Was it really?" Kyne asked.

It was another week of waiting before Lancelot finally decided to battle with her.

"Because of your selfishness I am made to look bad because I didn't accept your challenge like the rest," he instantly berated her.

"I apologize sir, I really just wish to battle with the four generals before finally leaving," she replied nonchalantly.

Lancelot gritted his teeth seeing her attitude.

"Don't think I would hold back like the rest of them," he warned her.

"Don't worry, I have no intention of holding back myself," she replied.

"Her face looks different," Hedley commented.

Somehow all three of them were there to watch.

Though they did watch the battles of each other just on different spot of the training ground.

"Could it be that the one she really wanted to battle was actually Lancelot?" Kyne asked.

Even though Scott and Hedley wanted to say that that shouldn't be the case, they couldn't because what they can see is that, he was right.

Saphira looks way different now that she is facing Lancelot.

"Well basing on how he had been acting lately, if she simlpy challenged him, he would refuse. But because we accepted and the people thinking that he was scared of her, he could only accept," Kyne commented.

The other two nodded their heads in agreement.

Without warning Lancelot's ability engulfed a big space within the training ground.

"Hey, he really is not holding back. Does he hate her that much? Just what did she do to him?" Hedley frowned at this onslaught of attacks.

"I don't know myself but he had been grumbling a lot lately especially when the seven of them returned," Kyne answered.

"Jealousy?" Scott followed making the other two looked at him.

"You are well aware of how much he wants the attention of his cousin. I heard he had been his idol for so long," Scott remembered.

"And then she was receiving the attention of all the heads, I have even heard he sent Lancelot to give her a barrier that will allow her to rest in silence," Kyne hit his palm with his fist.
