After they were able to defeat most of the demonic beasts on this side of the shore, the rest had runaway.
They looked around and realized just how dreadful the place had become.
As compared to what they thought, that they would still see a few living plants here and there.
It was void of it, filled with nothing but darkness and Miasma.
Willow and Hunter checked the surrounding before shaking their heads.
"This is just like the forest in Alquira Empire, there was no more life in it," Hunter sighed.
Saphira nodded her head, "For such amount of demonic beasts in the water, it is no longer a shock that the land is looking like this.
She faced Stormie, "Return to the Empire."
They have just stepped on the land, it wasn't even a week yet since they left the Empire.
Without getting deeper into the land, she can tell that this place is close to its limit already.
"Tell them that supplies are the problem this Kingdom will face once the cleaning up is done. Every supply there is, food, water, medicine, everything."
Since the land is dead, it means that the chance to grow things have lessened a lot.
"Don't fly too low, the water demonic beasts might hinder you. Use Roc, you need to be there as fast as possible and get back here as fast as possible," she added.
"We could send a bird," Drake couldn't help but interrupt.
He really is still unaccepting with the way she is leading them.
He couldn't simply accept her decisions.
The rest felt that he was saying something unreasonable.
They are already on their duty, no longer training on the Empire.
Saphira is currently their commander, to openly retort...
Saphira glared at him, "Do you think the kingdom's condition will be like this if they were able to send a messenger bird so easily?"
She returned her look to Stormie without giving him a chance to answer.
"Fly as high as you can using the clouds as your veil. No matter how many demonic beasts you see, evade them. Your top priority is to get to the Empire as soon as possible."
Stormie nodded her head in acknowledgement, this is a very important job that all focus must be placed on it.
"Go on now," Saphira placed her hand on Stormie's shoulder and nodded her head.
Stormie called out Roc before flying away, leaving behind a strong gust of wind behind their back.
"Who... are you?"
A shock voice came from behind them, when they turned around, they met knights of this kingdom.
About twenty of them but each and everyone were looking tired and too thin for this kind of battles.
This showed the six of them just how difficult it had been for this kingdom in the past years.
The knights were shock to see six teenage people appearing do suddenly in their land.
They heard commotion on this side and thought that more demonic beasts have come and prepared themselves for another battle yet upon arrival what they saw were these people.
And someone seemed to have just left.
"We are the order of the seven myths from Qillian Empire."
They didn't know anything about an Order known as seven myths but hearing that they came from Qillian Empire, the knights acknowledged them.
"I am the commander, Saphira Fiamma."
Their eyes went wide upon hearing her family name.
They knew of that noble name and for her to be here means that this order was the order they were all waiting for.
The young ones who hosted the mythological beasts.
And they finally understood the reason for the name of the order.
"May I speak with the commanding officer currently stationed here?" Saphira asked them both with authority and respect.
As compared to Alquira Empire, the condition of Cetus Kingdom is too severe to hide their identity and simply act as knights.
And the faces of the knights they are facing brightened a lot upon hearing who they were.
It didn't take long before they were taken to the base camp of that place.
Even the place felt like it was already doomed.
Despite the number, the knights were starting to look lifeless as if giving up on everything.
They faced two forty something commanders upon arrival and after introduction, Saphira didn't wait and asked directly.
"How long has it been since the attack have started?"
The commander didn't know whether to laugh or be shocked, they haven't even seated yet when she asked this question.
"It has been three years," he answered before gesturing to them to have a sit.
Saphira thought for a bit before looking at Hunter, he nodded his face and asked this time, "We have sent knights about three groups for the past three years. None of them have returned, have you met them?"
The man sighed, "We have but some of them were gone, the rest were still scattered all through out the kingdom because of how dire the situation had become."
He looked at the six of them, "They have given up on returning home."
"How about your communication, sir?" Saphira asked.
Drake looked to the side, he knew why she asked this.
The others didn't move but know it as well.
The commander shook his head, "We have been trying after six months of the start of the attack. But the waters surrounding the kingdom were infested with too many demonic beasts. They are far stronger than before and the highest flight height of the messenger birds were easily being reached by them."
Saphira nodded her head, "Then do please brief our vice commander of what was happening for the past three years. All information you had gathered. I just need to speak with one of my subordinates."
She stood up and looked at Drake, gesturing for him to go out.
The other four didn't look at them, they understood very well why Saphira had called for Drake.
She had made herself clear on the first meeting that their group had, but Drake still chose to question things without giving it much thought.
No one will just leave it behind and reason it as because he hated her.
This is now a mission, such hatred must be put aside and one must focus on their mission.
