True to his words, Ridge finished it within one hour.
Their group of five then went to the shore opposite the one where the gigantic beast was.
They couldn't disturb that one yet.
They needed to regroup and be sure that everyone is ready before they are to face it head on.
Since it was staying still then they still have time before they are to face it.
If Ridge's poison were to affect it now then they would be placed in a disadvantage especially since the knights at this place were just starting to recover.
Juno and Leon went with them while the others were feeling even more inspired watching how hard working they were because their group haven't rested properly yet.
And it was already late in the night.
Ridge walked over and took a sample of the water before using a drop of the poison.
Then he used his 'Union' with Basilisk to check how it is affecting the water.
Seeing as it was a success.
That only organisms with dark energy were being affected, not even the water was being poisoned, he nodded his head towards Saphira.
Saphira nodded her head before facing Juno and Leon.
"I think we can start the annihilation tomorrow morning. For now, we all need some rest."
"We understand."
Upon returning and seeing them finally going to rest, Cetus Kingdom knights were looking at them with even more reverie.
Upon arrival they didn't bother with rest, other than Saphira who went and rested for a bit on the tree.
Instead they finished everything and once results are out that they are going on the right direction, they finally took the rest that most would have taken earlier after dinner.
Early the next day, when most were still asleep their group left and poured the poison by the shore allowing the current to spread it on the ocean.
Ridge used his eyes once again to make sure that such large amount won't really affect the water itself and the still living plants inside it.
"We will leave this like this and once Stormie returns, we will call for Willow. Once all of that is done, we will start our extermination," Saphira commanded.
Even though they were waiting, they didn't stop from lessening the number of demonic beasts in the area.
They continued killing and rested only for a bit.
"What are you thinking?" Hunter asked Saphira.
They have just finished another group when he saw that Saphira was looking up in the sky deep in her thoughts.
Saphira pondered over it and thought that she can speak about it with Hunter.
"I was thinking about that island. This place is the closest to it and this side already has such amount of beasts, together with the one under water. Then what about on the other side? The side facing that island?"
He looked at her.
He himself didn't give it much thought that the amount of beasts in this kingdom is too much.
He felt like it was normal because of the time.
But thinking about it, what if something else is in that island?
Something that caused all of this?
Something they missed all this time?
"I... plan on returning there once we're done here," Saphira said in a lower voice in order for the rest not to hear her.
Hunter frowned, "Do you plan to go alone or do you plan in taking us?"
"At first, I was thinking of going alone. But because of what I have observed in this place, I knew I should not go there on my own."
She looked at him with a smile, "I don't plan on doing some suicidal act. If something big is indeed in there, then I have no chance if I were alone. No matter how strong I become."
Hunter sighed in relief.
If Saphira were to say she plans on doing this on her own, then even if he stopped her he knew he won't be able to.
Hearing as she plans on taking them along, he felt extremely relieved.
"But once we get there, I have to hand you the reign," she added.
Thinking about the past that occurred there, he understood why she was saying this.
At this moment, Drake was completely against her, Willow was following his step.
If they are to re enter that place, the past will flashback on the other three.
No matter what, it was a place filled with grief, their thoughts would be different than it was now.
"I understand," he answered making her smile.
"Well, I guess that gives me some peace."
He shook his head and patted her head.
"You really do love doing that, don't you?" she asked swatting his hand away.
He chuckled before their attention returned to the present time for another group of demonic beasts have appeared.
It was a day filled with endless battle.
They took out most of the beasts in order for the knights to have more rest.
Since a bigger battle is approaching, it is better that everyone were to be at their best condition, if not the top.
Another two days and most beasts on the water have died from the poison, giving them lesser work.
Saphira would use, together with the other fire ability users, their fire in order to burn the bodies of the demonic beasts to ashes.
Another two days and Stormie have finally returned.
She was a bit later than what Saphira had expected but since the monster under the water remained the same, there's no point in thinking about it more.
Stormie wanted to apologize about her tardiness but Saphira busied herself with more demonic beasts.
"What happened? What took you so long to return?" Nixon was the one who asked her.
"I was held back by my family," she replied.
It was not a good reason at all but somehow because the time became even more perilous, her family pulled her for a day.
Nixon instantly frowned at what she had said.
"I know, I know, I am at fault," Stormie said feeling guilty.
