That afternoon, while everyone was waiting for Qirin to return, they sat around the table.
"For now, we will focus on this place. Even with the heads coming surely just as what we have witnessed it would take a while before this place would be cleaned up."
Hunter was the one speaking.
"This is a good training as well, strengthen yourselves and try something new. I think we can develop different other things with our own magical power, something that will help in defeating the enemies."
After meeting Raynisha, Hunter knew they are in grave danger.
She was alone and they were no match.
What if the rest were the same?
He also understood why Saphira chose to come here.
"So the reason she came here is to check their bodies?" Hunter asked Vermilion Bird, who just came.
"She has a feeling that there is something more to these things. That is why she chose to check on it. Who would have thought that she was right."
Vermilion Bird sighed, both of them haven't had that proper rest yet ever since they came here.
"I'm off, think about things yourself for now. Just become better before she wakes up. I am too tired of your childishness."
Vermilion Bird flew away and returned to where Saphira was before landing on the window and closing his eyes.
When they were left alone, Drake chuckled.
"When she saved me, I saw her use their family sword. I was bewildered by the cracks on it but it actually slipped my mind that that sword couldn't be pulled by anyone other than the host."
He just realized it now.
When they were battling Raynisha, it seems that she had used it as well, just that it was so chaotic that everyone didn't get the chance to register it.
Even now, Drake only thought about it once everything settled down.
"Wait... cracks?" Hunter asked him.
Drake nodded his head, "It is well known that the swords are almost a thousand or so years of age and it was still as strong as ever. The reason it caught my eye is because it has crack on it."
"What kind of attack did she do for it to have those cracks?" Ridge nudged up his glasses and asked in confusion.
Stormie and Willow looked at one another before shrugging as well.
"Her attack, the one that allowed us to escape. It feels like there's something in it. I was too shock a while ago that I ended up staring at it," Nixon commented.
"Anyway, it is already well known that she keeps too many secrets, this must just be one of those. The problem right now is, her sword..."
Hunter pointed this out.
If that sword was broken by her ability then that means normal swords won't be of use to her.
"I brought it up..."
Drake started taking all their attention.
"Because I plan on making... that sword for her."
Everyone was obviously shocked.
Drake was the one who's talking, it was Drake Alphius who couldn't stand Saphira's presence.
He sighed feeling awkward at their looks.
"I know. I was nothing but bad towards her. I was always in the wrong, always making mistakes putting everyone in different situations. I was wrong and I want... to make up for it... even just... for a bit."
He couldn't speak straight as he looked away from them.
Hunter raised an eyebrow at him.
"Did the stories get to you? For you to have this drastic thoughts?" he asked.
"Yes... and no."
He placed his hand at his nape in an embarrassed manner.
"She... She saved me... even though I did nothing but cause her trouble... and pain."
He was not a bad person, he had treated her as a precious friend in the past.
That is why he felt even guiltier right now.
He kept quiet from the building of the house to before this meeting was held.
Not because he was simply ashamed but also because he was thinking to himself.
All the things he had been doing all along.
All the words everyone had told him and the things that Saphira had done for him and for the person he loves the most but couldn't really tell it yet.
She never asked for anything other than the respect because that is what one should really give to a superior.
It was something everyone deserved.
Yet he himself couldn't give it just because of his personal emotions.
He felt even more ashamed to face Saphira once everything cleared up.
He was able to think back as well.
He chuckled bitterly.
"When she used that attack, I thought she was simply going to obstruct ours and Raynisha's view from one another. But Saphira without second thought, she attacked Raynisha with the intent to injure her."
He was glaring at Saphira then because he knew it was her decision to pull back.
He was so stupid that he even punched her after they got away.
But when he thought back, Saphira had all the intention of injuring or even worst killing Raynisha with that attack of hers.
"Why... was I so blinded by these stupid emotions?" he asked covering his face with his hand that was propped on the table.
"Yet... I actually have no idea how to apologize to her," he added.
He knew once Saphira awakes, he will have to speak with her.
But how?
How can he do that with everything that he have done?
As he was speaking of this, one more person was feeling even guiltier.
It was none other than Willow, who was blinded by her emotions as well.
To the point that she became too childish to actually act that way towards Saphira.
If Drake couldn't bring himself to face Saphira.
Then Willow couldn't bring herself to even stand on one room with Saphira.
Drake has a reason for his hatred but hers was just really stupid.
She has no face to bring in front of Saphira at all.\
