CHAPTER 116: Some Kind Of Heirarchy

Hunter was actually looking at her, observing her reaction.

Seeing as they really were remorseful, he nodded his head.

Then he remembered how even he was reprimanded by Saphira for leaving Drake on his own.

Even though he knew he was at fault, he wasn't the least bit remorseful.

And no, he has no plans of apologizing.

They are no longer children that they must be watched over by others.

They should know that they are responsible for their own lives and actions.

This is something Saphira needs to do as well.

Because she was stupidly too kind, even when angry she still chooses to save them time and time again.

"This time around, take proper responsibility of your actions," he said with finality.

Everyone acknowledged.

"Come to think of it, Hunter what you used a while ago. Was that... gravity?" Nixon remembered and asked.

"Yes, I was training that while training with my father, and as you have seen I wasn't capable of using it properly yet. If I don't concentrate, then everyone would be affected," Hunter replied.

They remembered it the pain in their body after suddenly being pulled down and a boulder like heaviness was trapping them.

"That was what you also used when you pulled us back?" Ridge asked.

He was referring to when they were escaping from Raynisha.

"Yes, there is no way I will let her get strong on her own. Now I have more conviction in becoming stronger because of what we found out today. You do think the same, don't you?"

His tone was that of a challenge.

It was him telling them, you have witnessed the gravity of our work.

Do you still plan on playing around?

Do you still plan on acting the way you have been acting?

Or are you going to change that mindset of yours?

They nodded their head.

Reality had slapped them.

Their pride.

Their arrogance.

Their own childish acts.

Everything had just slapped them in the face.

This made them think more and more about the responsibility on their shoulders.

No time to play around or to dilly dally.

All they can do now is to really, seriously train for the up coming wars.

With that, each of them have decided.

Hunter will continue his training on gravity.

Drake will work on his metals.

Willow will work on her woods in a way that she can create stronger barriers using them, bigger and sturdier that will not be broken by normal attacks.

Stormie will be working on her wind barrier and attacks, strengthening it to the point that is it even sharper than the sharpest of swords.

Nixon have decided to venture on the world of ice, he knew if he can master the temperature drop of his own water, he would be able to do it. He would be able to make a paddle that when disturbed, it would turn to ice.

Ridge will work on his attacks, currently when it comes to battles, he is admittedly the weakest as he had focused on his potions and poisons.

All of them started thinking of their own improvement while they are waiting for Saphira to recover and if they are able to think of a better training, then they will surely make use of it.

There is no point trying to figure out just how they will make it up for everything that they have done that caused damage and trouble to the team.

If they really wanted to apologize then all they can do is be better.

There is no point on stressing out in the things that have already passed.

Wasn't that what she had been doing all this time?

Then they will follow suit.

No matter how difficult it is they can do it as long as they focus.

They have decided not to make a move on this day.

Instead they survey the area and rested properly.

Stormie and Nixon were called that night because the ice glacier was already melting.

"That's how hot she is right now?" Nixon commented.

The thick glacier was already halved, a bit more and Saphira would already be exposed.

"Fire is still fire," Vermilion Bird answered rolling his eyes.

The two of them pursed their lips.

Vermilion Bird is really scary, he really is scary.

They would not speak in front of him again.

'Calm down, most of the time he is asleep so you really have no chance of speaking with him. This is only temporary because we need to take care of Saphira,' Roc and Black Tortoise assured them.

If even they were still afraid of Vermilion Bird, what more for their hosts, who haven't truly met him?

Once they have retired to the sleeping area, Ridge remembered something.

"Come to think of it, is their some kind of heirarchy between the mythological beasts?"

It was because of how no one dared to go against Qirin when they were escaping Raynisha.

All six pairs of eyes looked at the five mythological beasts.

Should they answer?

Was that a secret?

Thinking deeply, it was not like it was a secret, it was only during this time that it was brought up.

"Hmmm we could say there is," Azure Dragon replied.

"More like, superiority?" he added.

The six of them listened attentively.

"The two of them became mythological beasts before the rest of us and they were also the last to become accompanying beasts," he explained.

Which means, Vermilion Bird and Qirin's strength is superior towards the others.

They get to evolve faster and put more fight before becoming accompanying beasts.

"No wonder you guys didn't disobey," Nixon nodded his head while saying this.

The five mythological beasts didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

It seems that they only think that the two were stronger by a bit.

But no, they weren't.

They were far stronger and they had lived longer.

'Hey, do you remember the first host of those two?' Azure Dradon remembered and asked Black Tortoise.
