CHAPTER 117: Born Of The Same Year

They spoke using the link between the mythological beasts.

'No, I don't think I could remember,' Black Tortoise answered before looking at Roc, White Tiger and Basilisk.

The three of them shook their heads.

They could still somehow remember their first hosts but for those two, it was vague.

For those two to get the two strongest beasts means that their strength were far superior than the rest who were known as gifted in each of their own areas.

But somehow even though they could remember the rest, they couldn't remember those two particular humans.

"What is it?" Drake asked noticing the changes on the beasts.

"Nothing in particular," White Tiger brushed it off.

There's no point in thinking back, but maybe they could ask either Vermilion Bird or Qirin on another time-

No.

They will just ask Qirin, they wouldn't disturb Vermilion Bird.

The next day, Qirin arrived and informed them that the heads will arrive a day later.

Without anything else to do, they started exterminating most of the demonic beasts on that island while trying to figure out how they can improve themselves.

This is the time for them to really grow up.

"Qirin," White Tiger called while they watch their hosts battle against the demonic beasts.

"Do you remember anything about your first host? We remember the hosts of the others but yours and Vermilion Bird's were a blank."

Qirin stared at him for a good while before lowering his eyes.

"Our memories of them were wiped out," he replied when he finally looked up.

All the other five were shock to hear this.

"What does that mean?" Azure Dragon asked.

Qirin shook his head, "We also don't know, at some point we just could no longer remember them. Who they were, their appearances, their abilities. There was nothing."

"Is it because it has been so long?" Basilisk ask.

Qirin looked at him, "If you ask that to Vermilion Bird, his tongue will be much more venemous than yours."

Basilisk feel wronged, he was just curious.

"If you can remember your first hosts then that means that our time with our first hosts are younger than yours," Qirin explained.

That's right, since they became accompanying beasts at a later time than the rest then it was only right to say that their's isn't as long as the others who became accompanying beasts earlier.

"Well, we did wonder about it because we were aware that we met back then but somehow we really couldn't remember them either," Black Tortoise told him.

"At first, we were also baffled but we just brushed it of as something that happened in the past. You all should not try to think deeply about it. There is no point," Qirin replied.

The day ended without much event, but they were able to see just how many demonic beasts were currently there.

It was indeed a factory.

If all these demonic beasts were to step out of that place and roam the world, just how chaotic would the world get?

The next day, as per schedule the six heads arrived on the island.

And to their horror witnessed first hand just what had happened to it.

They have visited this place, back when the incident happened, they came to check the place but it was completely filled with Miasma, that they couldn't get in.

Now, that the miasma have subsided, it was the beasts that were over populating the place.

They followed Qirin's instruction as to where the rest camped out and while on their way, killed the demonic beasts that attacks and passes by them.

"A nightmare," Ferdinand sighed looking at the place.

Currently this place is a nightmare.

For so long, no such thing have happened around the world.

Why was the upheavel to such extent during this time?

"Do you remember when six of them were born with the mythological beasts?" Truman asked them.

The others nodded their heads.

When all six were born, they felt an ominous feeling, as if it was telling them that something big will happen.

"But we brushed it off because it weren't seven back then. But this time, all seven of them are of the same age. Born of the same year," Truman continued.

There was no such thing that happened for a long while now.

Together with the fact that there was someone purifying the lands that were devoid of life because of the miasma.

Everything that was happening were things that never happened in a thousand year or so.

They could only get these things off their minds for now, there is a matter at hand that they needed to focus on.

"Grandfather!!"

"Father!!"

The other five called when they saw their grandfather and father.

"Willow did you make this?" Truman asked.

"Saphira told me I should get use to this because we need to camp out a lot of times. It is best to have a proper resting place," Willow nodded her head.

"Where is Saphira?" Asherton asked.

"This way, grandfather," Hunter replied.

It may not seem like it but Asherton made Hunter call him grandfather ever since he and Saphira had that first talk.

That he knew Saphira was serious about Hunter.

The others followed as well and they were stunned speechless at the current condition of Saphira.

Hunter explained to them what was going on and they were once again shock.

"You mean all this time, her real power was not yet there?" Asherton asked but his eyes were swimming with joy.

The others looked away not liking the gloating look that he has.

"But why was she in this kind of condition?" Asherton returned to the matter at hand.

He knew Saphira wasn't a careless person as to be drained by her own mana.

Everyone lowered their heads.

"I think we need to have a sit for this talk," Ferdinand said seeing all of their reaction.

The atmosphere was a bit heavy as they sat down.

"If you are going to have such dreadful looks, then do this outside. Don't you know she and I can feel this?"

Before they could start, Vermilion Bird's irritated voice came about.
