CHAPTER 138: Her Guard Dog Is Much Scarier

"What just happened?"

Saphira was pointing at Drake, who was walking away, while looking at Hunter.

Bewilderment was all over her face.

Early the next day, Drake suddenly came to her and asked for her family sword.

When she showed it, he took it and told her to wait for it.

"He had been trying to come up of a way to apologize to you for all his actions until now," Hunter explained.

"And he took my sword?" she asked.

"He took your sword because he was the only one who noticed that it had been broken when we fought against Raynisha."

Saphira looked down at the hilt on her hand.

It was a known fact that no one other than the host would be able to pull out the sword from its hilt.

"That's why he asked me to pull it out."

She even nodded her head.

Then after a bit she shrugged, "Oh well, I was thinking of where I could have it fixed, I guess I don't need to worry anymore."

She turned to go somewhere when she realized something.

"Wait."

Hunter looked at her.

"He took my sword?"

He frowned, "Yes, have you suddenly lost a memory. We were just talking about that."

"No I mean. He's going to fix it?"

She pointed at the path that Drake had taken.

Hunter was even more confused, "Yes, Saphira, that's his intention."

"Drake WILL fix it?"

"..."

Hunter no longer replied and simply stared at her.

"Is what I am thinking the thing he will do?" she asked again.

"..."

"Is he serious?"

"..."

"I mean, yeah he showed me his hatred and all. I became so frustrated towards him and all but..."

"..."

"Come on, that is a national treasure. What he was trying to do is a national treasure. Do you expect me to just accept it?"

"..."

"Hunter.."

Her tone turned to that of a complaining child.

"That is his plan Saphira."

His tone was of exasperation.

"Why?"

"..."

Sometimes he really wonders why can't Saphira just accept what was going her way.

She needs a whole lot of explanation just so she will accept it.

"I'm not that mad or something for him to use a national treasure for an apology," she spoke again.

Hunter's brows twitched and he ended up clapping his hands on her cheeks.

"Enough. That is his resolve. Don't reject it or he will carry his guilt for as long as he lives. He wanted to apologize sincerely and that is the most sincere apology he could come up with."

"But shtill shee could haf jush-"

Due to him pressing on her cheeks, she couldn't speak properly and was also abruptly stopped when he finally raised an eyebrow and looked at her sharply.

She pouted and sighed, she accepts defeat.

That is the only time he let her go.

"I guess, I need to ensure that the sword will be protected properly," she finally said.

"Good, now let's go to the castle."

She plans on informing the king of what she and Stormie talked about while Hunter will be accompanying her.

*****

"WHAT?!?!"

Felix who just entered the audience hall, heard of the reason his father called him there.

"Why are you shouting?" the king furrowed his brows.

"But father... I... Why?"

"That is a good strategy, with all the flying beasts accompanying that man, fighting him alone in air is not advisable."

"Then why me? There are seven of them."

"Your highness."

Felix swallowed hard before looking at Saphira when she spoke.

She was smiling but he can tell that something else is in there.

It was supposed to be a normal smile but it is scary while he looks at it.

"One is the potion and poison maker, one is a metal ability user, another is an earth ability user and another is wood ability user. Do you expect them to fight on air?"

Felix frowned at the way he was once again shut down.

"How about you?" he asked.

But the moment it left his mouth, he wanted to slap his lips instead.

That was a very stupid question.

She was the commander, giving the commands when she see fit, if she were to fight on air, she really won't be able to see the battle as a whole.

"Seeing your look I guess, you understood the reasoning behind this right? Or do you not expect to fight when the time comes? We came here for him but this is your kingdom as you have spoken when we just arrived, right?"

'She's holding a grudge, she's definitely holding a grudge,' Helios though on the side.

The king felt like crying but no tears would come out.

His son have surely found a very difficult person to deal with.

And when the king glanced at Hunter, he could actually see a doting look on him while looking at Saphira.

"I... understand."

Felix was defeated.

He really wanted to go back to two days prior.

If he knew he will be facing such a person, he would have stopped himself from being too high up on his horse.

He was wrong, he knew that now.

Saphira smiled and returned her look to the king.

"Thank you, your majesty."

When she bowed and turned around, she didn't forget to leave a few words for Felix.

"Stormie and Nixon trained really hard these past years. I hope you won't hold them back, hmmm?"

After that she left happily while Hunter shook his head but didn't reprimand her at all.

"She is quite a scary person," Helios said to Felix.

"Indeed she is scary when she opens her mouth. But her guard dog is much scarier," Felix spoke.

The reason he was even more regretting his words was because every single time Saphira would speak, Hunter would look at him with a differentl glint in his eyes.

It was as if he was threatening him that if he answers back, Hunter will not hold back.

The king sighed, "Now you know you shouldn't attack anyone just because of what you saw in their outer appearance."
