CHAPTER 171: A Laugh Of A Young Man

Since they are still girls and boys, it is just right to still have their own space as per their gender.

They didn't want to ask for more that the two bathrooms weren't necessary and even said that it was fine since they could just walk to a room with a bathroom but Zian insisted.

"The heroes couldn't be mistreated, you have saved this Empire so your every whim as long as it is not out of line, I will make sure to make it happen."

And those were his words that they could no longer decline.

Zian was cute in the first place, if he were to earnestly say something, they just couldn't really decline.

But of course, they didn't say anything about his appearance right in front of him.

It was obvious that he really didn't like it one bit.

With that everything was settled and the main castle became their house in this place.

Even the servants were so used to seeing them and greeting them like normal.

The knights would watch them train and from time to time would spar with them as well.

Though the matter with Saphira was kept a secret and everyone just thought that she was out somewhere just like Hunter who comes by from time to time to check the situation.

Their days continued like this and soon a month passed by with no improvement at all, Qirin and the rest couldn't even contact Vermilion Bird so as compared to the first, this one is much more nerve racking.

Bickering, laughs, arguments, training.

It was an all rounder situation that Zian was enjoying himself more and more in their company.

"Come to think of it, it's almost been a year since we reunited," Stormie spoke

It was the rare few times that all of them are present for dinner.

"Time sure flies so fast, all of us are nineteen already," Willow followed.

Nixon laughed, "And even though it is our birthday, we rarely celebrate it because we are either in a forest or fighting around."

Felix looked at them, "You guys haven't celebrated your birthday in this past year? Not even one of you?"

Even Zian felt bad somehow, a birthday is still a time for one to celebrate.

They shook their heads.

"It was already too much of a hassle for us, thinking about such days will just add more to what we have to think of," Ridge answered him.

Not one of them are feeling bad at the fact that they couldn't celebrate at all.

Instead they were even thinking that it allowed them to have lesser problems to think about.

"Hmmm."

After that Felix went silent.

They went on for different more topics before going to bed.

To be honest they were nervous.

They may act like it was nothing but their hearts had been on edge.

The time they have now are too peaceful that it scares them.

It feels like something will happen that will catch them off guard and would cause them some damages.

With that feeling they intensified their own training and up their games.

Zian, who was just starting to have a breather, couldn't help but to be pumped up when he watch them.

He couldn't dare to slack off.

No matter how busy he is in his duties, this is still their kingdom and these people are trying to be stronger to protect their kingdom.

With all their thoughts pointed on one direction.

The day they had dreaded for had finally come, while all of them are on the training grounds.

All of a sudden all mythological beasts came out.

Those who saw them were in awe at their sizes and majesty.

But it seems they weren't out just for a sun bath.

Because just then, the sky turned dark.

The sun shinning down so brightly suddenly disappeared.

The clouds were dark as if a strong rain would suddenly fall.

They then heard a laugh.

A laugh of a young man.

"So he really appeared," Drake spoke taking a deep breath.

His appearance was unlike to Samuel who wanted to make a sneak attack.

This person appeared with the intention of getting all of their attention.

With the intention of announcing that he has come.

It was no other than, Chester.

With the same black hair and violet eyes as Raynisha and Samuel.

Chester was looking at them with mock and ill intent.

"Their true colors are really too shocking," Stormie sighed remembering Samuel.

"Focus," Nixon spoke.

"I know," she rolled her eyes.

Felix looked at her and seeing as she really was no longer as affected as before, he focused his eyes on Chester.

Zian wasn't different, "So this is my half brother."

"You don't look alike," Ridge commented.

"Maybe because I got my looks from my mother," he replied.

"Are you all ready?" Hunter asked.

Zian had tasked the knights to take care of the demonic beasts accompanying Chester.

"It may be seven against one, but we have no idea just how strong he is. We have difficulties with Samuel because of his flight but you all remember Chester's ability."

Hunter told them, Chester's ability is a bit of a trouble.

Chester stepped foot on the ground and without delay, ten of him appeared.

"And if he really did power up then surely..."

He didn't finish but they had prepared themselves for the worst.

The ten Chesters attacked at the same time.

"What seven versus one, it is now ten versus seven and the ten of them have the same strength," Nixon complained as he defend from another attack on the side.

"Oh the castle, I say the castle," Zian couldn't help but to say.

They were within the castle grounds and this battle will surely cause it damage.

"Stormie," Hunter called before raising his hands up, some boulders rose up before he sent it towards the one he was facing.

Stormie flew up and casted a high end spell of barier around the castle itself.

Saphira was still inside, they couldn't have it destroyed.
