CHAPTER 191: Can I Still Apologize?

Because she knew of his feelings and because of what she had observed, she knew Nixon wouldn't simply be mad just by being compared.

Instead it was because of the outsider that made him seriously mad at Stormie.

Felix once again didn't say a thing.

"You can use the orb to look for us, we will give you our location when you are returning."

Felix's head snapped up upon hearing her words.

His eyes were filled with genuine shock and happiness that he wasn't kicked out of the team.

"Just make sure that this lesson will remain in you. And I do hope for you and Nixon to patch it up before you leave. You know what I mean," Saphira told him.

She wasn't so cruel as to kick him out because of a small scuffle, it would be too childish, not just for her but even for the rest.

Plus a helping hand is still needed in their battle.

The solid proof was what had happened with Chester.

If it was only Zian with the rest of the mythological beasts then they wouldn't have last long.

It is precisely because there was a helping hand that they were able to do so.

Saphira wasn't too conceited as to reject a great helping hand in this mission.

She rather ensure that this person could integrate well no matter how long than to simply lose a strong companion.

"I will try," Felix replied before leaving.

He knew that Nixon was the most easy going among their group.

For him to get mad was not something that could easily happen, instead if he were to do so then that means he was seriously too mad.

To think that the first ire he would receive was actually from the person who gets mad the least.

"Can I still apologize?"

Stormie found Nixon walking around town.

It was Hunter and Ridge whome she found first and they said that Nixon wanted to walk around alone.

They gave her the general direction where he went to and she simply followed it.

She had bought a drink that she knew Nixon would have liked while looking for him.

Nixon glanced at her but didn't speak a word, he continued walking.

He wasn't being childish right now, he was simply still irritated and seeing her would just cause him to be more irritated.

He didn't want to say something towards her that he will surely regret later on, the reasonw hy he chose to simply leave a while ago as well.

Stormie continued following him until they reached the center of the plaza where a big fountain was located.

It was still under reconstruction because of the attack just a few days ago and lesser people were present.

Stormie used her wind to stop him on his tracks.

"I know..."

Nixon stopped moving while still not looking at her.

"Saphira made me realize what I have done. I was the one who was in the wrong, I'm sorry. I got so full of myself that I acted in such a stupidly high and mighty way."

Stormie was used with simply apologizing when she goes over board and Nixon would start arguing with her again.

This was the first time that he was actually not willing to simply hear a sorry from her.

She understood then that she had done something terrible.

Even though she had accepted it when Saphira pointed it out a while ago, facing it was still a shock to her.

"I'm sorry Nixon, I really do. I swear I will not do it again. I will not put you down or anyone else in the future, no matter what we are doing."

She her wind from binding him gently before extending the drink she had been holding.

"Please forgive me," she sincerely apologized.

Nixon sighed before taking the drink she was giving him.

"I guess... we can just postpone training our synergy more," he then said.

Stormie lowered her head, from the get go the one she had been fighting alongside with was Nixon, yet she caused a rift because she was able to fight very well alongside Felix.

She knew her synergy was Felix was quite good even though they started just recently.

There are such times, one would work together with another far longer than another person, but the synergy would be different.

Like even when you worked together with one for years, the synergy between you may not be as good as the one you worked with for just a month.

"I understand, I am sorry. I really was wrong," nevertheless she still answered sincerely.

Nixon nodded his head before walking ahead, he had accepted her apology but that doesn't mean the damage had disappeared.

If he went back and trained with her again, there will still some lingering feeling of what he was doing was not enough.

That she may not speak about it but he will think that she is thinking of it.

He didn't want that but he can see her sincerity so this is the only thing he can do for now.

He just needs time to forget the fact that his childhood friend has compared him to someone they spent such a short time.

It still hits hard where it hurts, better stay away for now.

Stormie felt the pang in her heart as well, at the way she had treated her childhood friend.

She felt like cursing herself over and over again for what she had done.

"Just give him time."

Upon returning in the castle, she went looking for Willow and Saphira before pulling them away from everyone and crying on them.

It was Willow, who was patting her back, that spoke first.

Saphira simply watched.

When you hurt someone due to your confidence and then some time later you will realize that you have hurt them, you will feel the pain of hurting them as well.

If you really cherish them then the more pain it is once you realize that everything was your fault.
