CHAPTER 192: Can I Ask You Something?

"I was too conceited, too over confident with my capabilities," Stormie cried.

"There, there," Willow could only pat her.

If they are to blame her more right now then she will just be in pain more.

The reprimanding she received a while ago was already enough.

This time, she just needs to reflect on her mistakes, there is no need to rub things on her face.

"Stop crying now, do you wish to let him feel guilty upon seeing your eyes because of his decision?"

Finally Saphira took out her handkerchief and wiped Stormie's tears after another few minutes of her crying.

Stormie sniffed, "No."

"Then enough. This decision isn't because he hates you or still feels mad at you. He was simply hurt and he decided to do this because he himself didn't want to thinkly badly about you."

Saphira understood the thoughts behind the decision that Nixon made.

"At the same time, do you wish for Felix to have so much in his mind on his return trip to his home?"

Willow and Stormie looked at her.

"Don't look at me like that, I didn't send him home. You do remember the condition that his father gave him in order for him to accompany us, right?" Saphira spoke.

"Three months," Willow replied.

Saphira nodded, "So clean up, there is no such thing as a group who never fights, who never got into misunderstandings. Who likes everyone through and through without not disliking one thing or two."

Stormie finally wiped the remnants of tears on her eyes, that's right, she had involved Felix in this, she can't have him some guilt when he goes home.

"Can I punch you?"

Felix pursed his lips before nodding his head.

He approached Nixon when Nixon finally returned to the palace.

He apologized for acting smug when his self confidence pulled down by Stormie's words.

Felix even closed his eyes waiting for the punch.

But instead of the painful hit on his cheek, what he felt was a light smack on top of his head.

He opened his eyes in confusion and saw Nixon looking at him seriously.

"I am so petty as to really be seriously mad at you for acting smug in front of me. I am not childish enough to hit your for that."

Felix stared blankly at him.

"If you want to join our group, then what you need to do first is to understand each of our characters. That is if you wish to be our friend for a long run, you also need to adapt quite well," Nixon said.

Felix blinked a few times.

Nixon sighed seeing as he was not understanding why he was speaking in such a way when he was prepared to receive Nixon's anger.

"Look, you may have acted a bit smugly but what happened was entirely because of her."

Even though Nixon didn't really want to blame Stormie, it was still a fact that what happened was because of her.

"Who wouldn't have a boost in confidence when you are being complimented by others? I myself might have reacted the same way. That is why I was never mad at you, if that is what you think."

Nixon then laughed, "We aren't children come on. I would write my name backwards if I am offended by your look alone. Though admittedly it added some irritation on me a while ago but not to the point of being mad."

Finally Felix realized that his thoughts were completely childsiha nd that Nixon was right, he should have understood their characters first.

He can also tell that the reason Willow and Drake took a step back from him because they were watching the way he looked at Nixon but that doesn't mean it was the same with Nixon who was receiving his look.

And then another realization occured to him.

These people really doesn't truly get mad when they are the ones involved but if the others were the one being wronged then they will get mad.

"Then I would feel at ease going back home," Felix finally smiled.

Nixon furrowed his brows, "Why are you suddenly going home?"

Felix instantly waved his hand seeing Nixon misunderstand his words.

"It is not suddenly, it was part of the condition for me to joing you guys in this mission. I need to go back every three months, right?"

"Oh, that's right. Have you spoken to Saphira then?" Nixon asked as he gestured for him to return and have some dinner.

Felix nodded, "I have."

They walked back in silence when Felix remembered something, "There is one thing, since you already said that I need to understand you guys first, your character and all. Can I ask you something?"

Nixon nodded his head.

"I noticed back in the ball that you were evasive towards ladies and even with your group, whenever you needed to heal or support them as long as there is contact, there was a thin layer of water surrounding your hands."

Nixon stopped momentarily from walking before smiling in defeat.

"I think you already have the answer to do that, though."

"Is it what I am thinking about?"

"Tell me then," Nixon replied.

"An allergy of some kind?" Felix asked with difficulty.

All of Nixon's reaction had pointed to this.

Nixon smiled before taking a deep breath and stretching, then he placed his hands behind his head.

"A trauma that I don't remember," he finally said as he looked up in the night sky.

Felix glanced at him, Nixon was smiling but his eyes weren't.

"The other's don't know how it came to be as well?" he asked.

"It seems that everyone who has an idea of what had happened, had some silent agreement of not talking about it. Especially in front of me, after all, I only know that I was kidnapped as to why I ended up like this..."

He shook his head.

There was this layer of gloominess and a certain layer of fear in demeanor that he was trying to portray as being nonchalant.
