CHAPTER 194: A Barrier In Her Heart

Saphira found some little information from the past empires and kingdoms that they visited about the location where the one who used light prior her could have been.

And all of it pointed to the direction of a particular land with five kingdoms living in it.

Hydra Kingdom was the one facing Draco Empire, meaning it was the closest to where they currently are.

As for the exact place where the then light ability user came from, Saphira has no idea.

She can only slowly investigate all five kingdoms.

As for following the elite squad, Flora was born in Qillian Empire.

With Samuel and Chester being injured and the other being killed, they can only wait for when Flora will appear.

Or for when Samuel will reappear again.

But they can't stay in one place waiting, they need to keep moving to ensure that they will be able to cover as many kingdoms and empires as possible.

Everyone looked at Ridge.

"The mythological beasts weren't sucked into the illusion that Chester dreated. But in the past they are always included."

The others instantly looked at Saphira for the answer to this question.

She couldn't help but to laugh at this dependence for answers.

And the trust that everything she says are the truth and that they could believe it whole heartedly.

Her confidence increased and even acted smugly that she has the answer to their question.

Somehow their lips twitched, Saphira seriously...

"Well, mythological beasts are still known to be the ones fighting against darkness, since early times so they are somehow incorporated to having light attributes. If Chester were to pull them in as well, then the illusion on you guys wouldn't be as strong as you being locked there for more than half an hour."

"It's like there would be cracks on his illusion that we can spoil easily, is that it?" Ridge replied.

"Yes, he was sure without them you will haev difficulties but he didn't expect, more like he has no idea of the changes around us. Confidence is truly a double sided sword."

She shook her head, if not for the fact that Chester was overconfident of his knowledge of them, he could have strengthened it more to ensure that they won't be able to escape.

"Sometimes, luck is surely part the reason why we can win in these battles," she laughed at this.

The rest couldn't help but to agree to this, they knew they didn't rely entirely on themselves all this time.

Sometimes they were also lucky enough to survive.

'She's seriously too happy again,' Light commented upon feeling the fluctuations in Saphira's heart.

'Again? You seem to know her quite a lot,' Vermilion Bird replied.

'I have my consciousness even while still being in the egg. I had been waiting to meet you all personally from long ago,' Light replied honestly.

She had been commenting here and there back then.

She flew around, 'I had been watching her change the perceptive of people around her with her character alone. With how she faced the situations thrown at her.'

She had been wishing all this time to see the face of the person who could strengthen the light power without really using force.

'You...'

Light looked at Vermilion Bird.

'You are still hiding something from Saphira and the rest. That smile of yours that is both a yes and a no.'

Light smiled again, 'Saphira still has a barrier in her heart.'

Vermilion Bird instantly turned serious when she said this.

'What do you mean?'

She shook her head, 'I can't say.'

'Huh? Are you joking with me?'

'No, but if I tell you then you will help her realize it. But she needs to be the only one to realize things,' Light replied.

'If she received external help then it won't do good for her light power,' she added with a sigh.

She sighed, 'That barrier is still a darkness in her heart that she needs to let go of, ot be free from in order for her power to rise to another level.'

Vermilion Bird couldn't really rebuke this, there are these kinds of power, something one needs to realize and conquer on their own.

Who would have thought that light was the same.

'But...'

He looked back at her while she had on a smile, 'To have a support is still a good thing.'

There was melancholy in her smile.

Then her face registered a stunned look as if she didn't understand why she had said that before she loked back at Vermilion Bird.

'Anyway, your support is a good one for her, she had survived a lot because of that.'

Vermilion Bird shook his head, 'It is Qirin's brat, if not for that brat she may have lost from the get go.'

'Oh, I only received my consciousness when all of them had come together. I didn't have the consciousness from the get go.'

Vermilion Bird glanced at her, 'Just know that if it is that brat who is by her side, then she will surely be fine.'

'...'

'What's wrong?' he asked when she didn't say anything.

'At the same time, he could be the one who could bring her great pain,' she answered.

It was Vermilion's Bird turn to go silent.

Light clapped her hands, 'I wonder why I am being melancholic, speaking things that are unnecessary. We are simply spirits of the power.'

'...'

Light returned to her smiling look and stopped flying around, seemingly bored in doing it now.

'And...' he started again.

Light looked at him in curiosity.

'What will happen to her after this battle? After they are able to defeat the darkness?'

Light started thinking.

'Didn't you have a host in the past? Darkness rose thousands of years ago, what happened to that person?'

Light looked at him seriously making him nervous.

'I actually has no idea,' she replied with a smile.

If he were flying, Vermilion Bird would suerly have fallen already.
