But what shocked Nathalia even more was her next words.
"Thank you."
Nathalia was bewildered, her family had wronged this person, she even made her or them a wall in the tree yet this young lady was actually thanking her?
"It is not always that we would meet someone who would openly and genuinely speak such words to us. So thank you because even just one, if they can show us that what we are working for is not for a naught and that people appreciates it, it would definitely boost our confidence."
Hunter looked at Saphira with a gentle smile.
All of them were waiting for something like this in every place.
People who would appreciate everything that they were doing.
Why meeting these people is a great thing for their emotional stability.
If one who are doing their best in order to save and help others but no one would appreciate it no matter what, no one would surely stay the same.
"There was this one person you see," Saphira started while staring at her cup of coffee.
"He did everything, train and train. Fight and fight. Support, protect, train, fight. A never ending cycle for his life. But every single time no matter what he does, no one had actually acknowledged it."
Hunter watched her closely, the story she was talking about, it feels like it has a deeper thing about it.
At the same time, Saphira wasn't someone who loves talking about stories.
She was too lazy to do that.
Her sudden story telling must have been caused by the fact that she was backed to the corner by the attitude of people towards them.
"People kept looking down at him, he was always compared to others and worst no matter how injured he was, no one would care. Some would even tell him to recover faster just so he could fight again."
She looked outside the window, it was a sunny day without any clouds in the sky.
"His lover left him for someone else during his lowest time and his achievements were given to someone else."
She looked back at Nathalia, "No matter how kind he was, no one appreciated him. No matter how hardworking her was, no one acknowledged him."
She sipped from her cup before continuing, "Until he reached his limit. 'If no one cares then so be it. I did my best but you pushed me aside. Since all of you are simply waiting but dared to act like that towards me. Then let me do the opposite of what you think I should be doing.'"
Nathalia and Hunter couldn't help but shudder at her words.
"It feels like..." Nathalia started.
It feels so true.
She had thought Saphira was simply making some stories as comparison to their current situation but it seems that it wasn't the case at all.
"Every human being has their own limitations, emotionally, physically, mentally. And those who are known to be the kindest could be the most cruel as well."
"Saphira?" Hunter called her as her eyes became clouded like seeing something about the story she had just spoken of.
Saphira blinked before looking back at him, "Hmmm?"
"The queen..."
He wanted to ask something else but seeing her innocent smile he simply reminded her about the presence of the queen.
"Oh, I apologize," she spoke.
"No, but your story truly hits hard," Nathalia told her.
Saphira smiled, "That is why your majesty, your words are truly something that could never compare to the fame we have on the other kingdoms and epires. They can speak of the same words but the genuity is not there."
"Oh, I see," Nathalia smiled bashfully before she cleared her throat.
"Anyway, I shall allow you to go down our library and see all the bookd that you needed. The records are all in one room within the library, I shall send a messenger to the people managing it in order for them to let you in freely."
"Thank you."
Nathalia shook her head, "By the way, do you have a place to stay?"
"We do have one please don't worry," Hunter was the one who replied.
He had asked the rest to look for an inn and he had just received a message through Qirin that they have found one already.
Nathalia didn't try to ask them to stay in the palace for they may not become confortable in it.
After having their coffee, Hunter and Saphira went directly to the library and got down to work. They don't have the time to be leisure at all.
After getting all the books they needed, they went to the room where the records are and locked the door.
"Light, I have a question," Saphira spoke after making sure that no one else was around.
Light came out and sat on the table.
"I just thought of something when we were talking about the descendants a while ago."
"What is it?" Light asked remembering how she suddenly had a different reaction while berating the people of this kingdom.
"Records of the first host of Vermilion Bird weren't around. The former light ability user has such a small amount oif record..."
She pointed at the one notebook record that Nathalia and Cedric were talking about.
"Where are you getting at with this?" Light asked again.
"I mean why does it feels like these two are connected?"
"But the first host of Vermilion Bird has you as the descendant. Together with that, Qirin's first host is also an unknown," Light poinetd out.
"I don't know, it's just while speaking of these things a while ago, I felt that there is connection. Plus we also have no idea why I was chosen as the next holder of the light ability," Saphira replied.
There are so many mysteries enveloping the first hosts and the former light ability user.
"Why don't we read the documents first and try to look for more things regarding this matter? If we start thinking now with so little knowledge, we will just be confused even more," Hunter suggested.
With a sigh, Saphira could only agree
