CHAPTER 203: She Was Truly Beautiful

After he left, Justin was sent back to his room and will be in room detention for a week together with Anastacia.

Hunter and Saphira were obviously shock to witness all of this.

Saphira even forgot about her anger towards their words and attitude because of the queen herself.

"Those people, didn't even serve the guests properly," Nathalia shook her head with a sigh.

"Please bring us some refreshments and tea... Do you prefer tea or coffee?" she asked the two of them.

Hunter looked at Saphira to which she replied, "Coffee."

"Coffee it is then. Refreshments and coffee please," Nathalia spoke to the maid.

She didn't bother asking Hunter for he wouldn't look at Saphira about what to ask if he has something he desire already.

They waited for a bit until the refreshments arrived and they were left alone.

"Once again, I truly apologize for my family had acted. I wouldn't blame you for raising your hand as well because the one who did it first was my son."

Saphira can see in Nathalia's face that her words were genuine.

"They have insulted you by bringing up marriage when you are already engaged as if you weren't there at all. I know my daughter didn't tell me everything, so is it possible for you to recount to me what exactly have happened?"

Saphira sipped from her coffee, tasting that exquisite taste she sighed in contentment before she started telling Nathalia how things have unfold.

She also spoke of what she and the leader had talked about, of course it wasn't the exact words she used towards the leader but that she had complained on them.

Speaking of those words again will just bring back the hurt she felt a while ago.

That not everyone was not looking at them as people and younger teens.

That they really see them as killing machines.

"Oh dear, I wish I had the chance to bring back time and be there instead."

She was shaking her head in embarrassment.

"You see, my husband married into the family. I was the only child of the past king and queen, so marrying over is the only choice of the person whom I will marry."

Then she laughed bitterly, "Sadly it was an arranged marriage. He was the son of a duke of the kingdom. My parents approved so much that I ended up marrying him but with conditions..."

Hunter and Saphira remained silent.

"I will still be the leading head and that my authority remained higher than his. As you have seen, he was not smart despite being one of the highest nobles. I guess that is the reason they have approved of him, he won't hinder me, the real royal in leading the kingdom."

She sighed, "And somehow, even my children inherited his trait of being arrogant. I did try straightening them up but after we found out the records that the former hero was from this kingdom. Their arrogance that dwindled actually multiplied."

She looked tired as she spoke of this.

Though Saphira and Hunter were wondering why was she speaking in such a way towards them.

She noticed their look and smiled, "When I saw your interaction I just felt jealous somehow..."

They were then confused.

Why would she be jealous?

"I had someone I really love."

Understanding instantly befell their faces after this one sentence.

"He was also a knight in this kingdom. But because of his humble standing, my parents didn't approve of him."

Saphira looked at Hunter.

Weren't they just in a different drama a while ago?

Why are they in this kind of drama now?

"I'm sorry for speaking this way despite being an adult, watching you two or more particular, looking at you, I just feel so at ease and couldn't help but to speak of my grievances."

Saphira was agaped, is it too easy to spoke of your grievance, much more as a queen of a kingdom to a person outside of your own kingdom?

Nathalie looked at her in an embarrassed manner, Saphira could only sigh and smile.

"Not all love could be fulfilled I guess, your majesty," she replied.

"Yes, that is why I really felt shameful towards the two of you on how my family has acted. To hear others claiming your love as their own, that so infuriating."

Saphira's face turned completely red as she listened to Nathalie.

"I... I'm..."

For the first time, she was flustered to the point where she actually has nothing to say.

Nathalie laughed looking at her before turning serious, "I want to compensate for everything you have heard today."

"Uhmmm..."

Saphira actually choked that she could only clear her throat before continuing.

"I just want to get to your library, read the books about your history of abilities and to read the records you spoke of about the former hero."

Since it was already presented, she went straight to the point.

Nathalie once again sighed after hearing this.

"Is there a problem about it?" Saphira asked.

She liked this queen, she had the same vibe as that of Hunter's mother, Felissa.

"No, I just felt like hitting my family a couple more times," Nathalia replied.

Hunter and Saphira were confused.

"You needed them because oif your battle right?" Nathalia asked seeing their confusion.

They nodded their heads.

"You are doing it for the whole world, why must they act haughty towards your visit? Calling you killing machines when all along you were thinking about the world as a whole. Killing machines have no heart, they don't care about the well being of the people but you... You think deeper about your actions, doesn't that show that you are not killing machines?"

Saphira's hand on the cup trembled, she though no adult would think this way for them.

Zian and the others were younger and had fought with them that she had surrendered to the thought that it is normal for them to see their efforts.

But to meet leaders who think this way, it wasn't so easy at all.

A smile blossomed on her face, a smile filled with warmtha nd gentleness.

Nathalia ended up gasping at Saphira's beauty, she couldn't help but to see Saphira being surrounded with a blinding light at the way she smiled.

She was truly beautiful.

A beauty no one Nathalia have ever seen could surpass.

A beauty hidden from being a knight.

That if she were to just be a simple lady, she would have been the most beautiful woman out there.

But she chose to be a knight, to fight for the world.

A person who is beautiful inside and out.
