CHAPTER 202: This Is No Longer Their Time

Reginald looked at Felissa, who was also present during the world call that Saphira had done.

She smiled, "Basing on what she had said, first they have said words against the others, second she also spoke of a proposal. She also added that she held back."

"That means she held back upon hearing some absurd things from them. But if they pushed their lucks and even spoke about the engagement so lightly and that they are demeaning Hunter..."

Reginald's reply made Felissa shrugged.

She sipped from her tea, "At the same time, the two of them were so used at the fact that in the end they would be together. This event caused Saphira to realize that there could be others. I knew both of them haven't confessed or anything yet. Without that kind of security, as a person, she would realize that their relationship is still hanging in the air."

Reginald shook his head and sighed once again, "If we include her jealousy with the way they insult their friends. Her anger would really reached that point."

No wonder she was so mad.

"Anyway just get to your office and check all the papers, you might find the five year she was talking about. Better dispose of everything or she might not give you face in the future," Felissa suggested.

Reginald stood up and instantly left, he gave the command to those working with him to search everything and everywhere. They must get out all the proposal received and bring it to him.

On that day, the papers on the palace were turned upside down.

*****

"For now, please allow me to inform you that we are not accepting any wedding proposal from anyone. I am already engaged and the reply must have been forgotten because of how busy the empire had been, So I hope that you will not discuss this matter any longer."

Cedric and Justin were now sitting on a round table facing Hunter and Saphira.

Anastacia was brough to her room.

Both father and son duo glanced at Saphira, theyw ere still feeling the lingering efar after facing her angered self then.

"I, the crown prince, am the one speaking now. I will not accept any kind of engagement other than what I have right now. No matter how important the other person is," Hunter continued.

"Then compensate us," Cedric spoke.

Saphira's brows twitched but Hunter held her hand that was under the table telling her to relax.

"I wish to understand why we should compensate you?" Hunter asked.

His voice was neither mad nor gentle, it was in between.

"You have heard what my father had said a while ago. Are you still trying to make it difficult for yourselves? There is a reason why we have com here," Hunter remained making the father and son duo purse their lips.

The door suddenly opened, came in a lady with green hair and and green eyes.

She looks like Justin and Anastacia, just older than them.

"Please," she spoke seeing Hunter and Saphira.

"Please forgive their insolence," she continued shocking the two of them.

Even Saphira's anger subsided quite a bit.

She was begging so genuinely.

"I am Queen Nathalia, I apologize for what they have done. I only heard of it when I checked on my daughter. I was in a meeting and didn't get the chance to greet you properly. I have already berated my daughter..."

"Nathalia..." Cedric wanted to complain that she shouldn't apologize when they were the ones who were placed in an unfavorable position.

"Shut up," she hissed at him.

"How many times must I tell you that you must check that haughty attitude of yours? Even if the former leading hero came from our kingdom, that was the former. This is no longer their time. They can't even help us now so what makes you think you should be haughty?"

Hunter and Saphira glanced at one another.

"But..."

"And what was with the engagement? I never heard of it. You have only suggested it back then but I never agreed, who would have thought you stillpushed through with just the fact that this kingdom had a former hero."

Cedric was left with no rebuke, Nathalia had already revealed the truth.

Saphira huffed upon hearing this but she was still confused at what was going on for her to start asking questions.

"Listen carefully, the crown prince already has someone so get the thought of being their family out of your head. And get it out of your daughter's head. She already has the delusion that she has the right but have you all taken a good look to our kingdom?"

Nathalia didn't bother berating her family in front of Hunter and Saphira.

"Our kingdom is smaller as compared to Vermin Kingdom. This young lady is what you'd call the real princess of that kingdom if not for them staying in Qillian Empire. She is a princes and one of the seven platinum knights. What gave you the right to look down on her?"

Actually if Hunter and Saphira weren't around, Nathalia would have grabbed her husband's collar at this moment.

"You still have a meeting to attend to, go there now and do it properly. But remember this is not yet over," Nathalia told Cedric and all he could do was to dejectedly leave.

He couldn't help but to shiver as well because he knew just how much his wife would berate him tonight.

The reason he chose to confront Saphira now was because he wanted confirm or finalize everything while Nathalia was in a meeting.

If it goes well then he can simply achieve what he wants.

He just didn't expect that the one he spoke to was actually the fiance of Hunter, herself.

They knew her hair color was red but no one told them that it had now a golden color on it.

She also had a part of her face hidden with the scarf.

In truth, Cedric has no one to blame but himself for being to full of oneself.

He was too high up in the air that he didn't even realize what he was doing was really but wishful thinking, just where did he had the idea of making his daughter the empress of the biggest empire?

That's plain idiotic.
