CHAPTER 245: Keep Those Last Words

"I was wrong."

Saphira ignored the person as she kept swinging her sword.

Beads of sweat were already on her forehead.

The time to come here and the time Hunter followed her wasn't long, which means that she was swinging her sword heavily.

Hunter sighed and thought back.

This was the first time she had reacted this way even though it was not the first time he had stopped her from what she was getting mad at.

At the same time, this was the very first time she had acted this way because she was the one who was wronged.

If it were the rest whow had wronged her, it was normal that she would get mad.

It showed that she really cared for them, that she couldn't agree for their actions and decisions.

But for the outside people, she didn't care.

He walked over and held her hand, stopping her from swinging.

"I really was wrong. I didn't think about the place and the people. In the end, they looked down on you. I should have known better but somehow I reacted without thinking. I was in the wrong."

Saphira pursed her lips and lowered her hands but she remained indignant on not looking at him.

"I'm sorry, I knew you were sensitive these past weeks but..."

He trailed off, when she slapped his hands away, he already knew that she was not feeling great.

But he couldn't pinpoint just what was the reason for it.

He wanted to speak with her alone but Elizabeth didn't want to be alone.

This time, he was grateful that the escorts from Atria Kingdom have arrived, he finally got the chance to leave her to them.

Saphira pulled her hand from him and placed her sword back to its sheath.

She sighed, when he spoke about her being sensitive, her eyes that were lowered shifted.

She was well aware of her own emotions.

Very much aware of it that she was feeling irritated even more.

At this point, Willow was wrong about her thoughts.

Not all will be unaware of what was going on in their emotions when they are in such situations, Saphira was very much clear of it.

And she didn't like it at all.

She was not fond of seeing herself being emotional.

Because she wants to keep those last words.

She wants to keep being the person she needed to be.

She didn't want such emotions that shows her own weakness.

Hunter noticed that Saphira was still frowning, so he walked in front of her and massaged her brows.

"I was the one in the wrong, you were the commander and you have lost your face in front of them because of my words."

Saphira sighed before she finally looked up to him.

"I don't care about losing face but it really does not sit right that I have to lose face when I am pointing out their mistake, especially when that person was being unreasonable."

Hunter nodded his head before cupping both her cheeks with his hands not minding the sweat on her face.

"I will surely watch over my actions from now on. I really am sorry."

Saphira couldn't help but to pout and showed in her eyes how wronged she felt.

Hunter chuckled, she was no longer mad, he could tell.

In reality Saphira knew that her emotions won't calm down until they are to depart from this place and she would stop seeing Elizabeth with Hunter.

And seeing Hunter watching Elizabeth closely.

But Saphira chose not to disclose it.

She didn't want him to think about it.

Because she knew he was trying his best to overcome his guilt.

She knew it was wrong, for him to overcome something from the past while in the present?

And doing it towards an unrelated person?

But she had wished for it herself.

She had wished for him to overcome it.

Not just him but the rest of them.

She wanted all of them to find the chance to really move forward.

"Since you stopped me from doing my training, we should just go back and eat."

She said pulling her face away from his hands.

She then handed him her handkerchief, "I was sweating."

She wanted him to wipe his hands with it.

Hunter took it but instead of wiping his hands, he wiped her face instead.

"You have not been sleeping well again," he commented as his thumb rubbed the dark spot underneath her beautiful eyes.

She smiled, "Everything was advancing too fast. We need to keep the situation under control, if not we would surely be at a disadvantage in the long run."

"Nevertheless, watch your own health," he said in exasperation knowing that she was stubborn in her decision right now.

She smiled and no longer lingered on the topic.

Both of them returned and seeing them walking back together, the rest heaved a sigh of relief.

Ridge, who had returned earlier than them, looked at the two of them before returning his attention on his food.

Elizabeth's eyes brightened upon seeing Hunter return.

Though something else went past her eyes seeing the harmony between the two of them.

She would be lying to herself if she says that she didn't fall in love with Hunter over the past few weeks that they spent together.

He may not be as openly gentle but his actions were enough to make anyone fall for him.

He was attentive and careful in everything he does for you.

So seeing Hunter and Saphira having such harmony and synergy caused a bit of discomfort in her heart.

At the same time, the rest have informed her over the past weeks that they were together regarding the real relationship between the two of them.

She couldn't say a thing about it, they were engaged.

But she still fell for him and still wished to be with him.

Her attraction for him especially the fact that she relies on him entirely even though she had no memories were proof enough of her feelings for him.
