CHAPTER 274: How?

Then Saphira remembered the ability she saw on that girl.

She can heal, an attribute that the Phoenixes has in this world.

Self healing ability.

'Didn't we tell her to keep that a secret, until she's older?' Saphira started feeling nervous.

'How should I know?' Fifi replied.

'Guide me to her.'

Phoenix did as she asked, they went from one corner to another.

Making turns here and there.

Entering a building unnoticed until they reached the room where Elise lies, her blood dripping down the table.

She saw Reginald and Radcliff stupefied and heard the shouts of other children somewhere she has no idea who.

Her eyes went wide, "ELISE!!!"

Reginald and Radcliff snapped out of their own shocks when they heard another child's voice.

Before they could stop her, she was already by the side of the table where Elise lies.

Elise slowly turned to her before very weakly a little smile appeared on her face.

Saphira could see that she was very slowly healing at the part of her chest, even her heart can be seen pumping from the outside.

But the way it slowly does, Elise must be in so much torturous pain.

And she may really not heal, she might even die!!

Saphira slowly turned to the people in the room who has blood on them and some were still holding instruments for operation.

Her eyes turned red and her anger instantly erupted.

Her mind went blank as she was filled with nothing but rage.

Without asking, despite being young, she knew what exactly have happened here.

She understood and she hated them to the core.

Elise was a young child, she was young but they caused her so much pain.

"I won't forgive you," she said in gritted teeth.

The people who was simply shock upon seeing the emperor and Radcliff, couldn't help but to take a step back.

Somehow facing this little child who seemed to be just a five year old, inexplicable fear bloomed in their hearts.

The way she spoke may have been filled with anger but the aura she exuded was accompanied with coldness.

A coldness no normal child should have had.

Reginald and Radcliff was even more shock to see her current stance.

Before she could be stopped, she shouted in anger and fire erupted all over the place.

Weird enough, Radcliff and Reginald weren't affected, even Elise.

Those who are being burned was none other than the people in the poison research.

She kept shouting as Reginald and Radcliff tried to approach her.

"Saphira!!!"

"Saphira calm down!!!"

They called but to no avail.

She kept shouting angrily towards the people who was shrieking at the pain inflicted on them.

Despite the strength of the fire, they were being burned very slowly.

That's when Phoenix came out of her.

He flew right in front of her.

"You can still save her Saphira."

The moment he finished his words, her fire instantly disappeared.

The anger dissipated and the suppressing aura disappeared without a trace.

Her little face was filled with worry and hope, hope in saving Elise from all of this.

She grabbed him, "How?"

Those people she was burning were half burnt but were still alive.

They were now groaning in pain.

"She has the attribute of a Phoenix, which means she can be reborn on her own ashes."

Even Reginald and Radcliff were shock to hear this.

And they were even more shock to hear that Elise actually has the attribute of a Phoenix. They were smart enough that they can put two and two together.

They understood clearly just why was Elise here.

And they understood very clearly just what kind of place this Poison Building is.

"How?" Saphira asked once again.

"Use your fire to burn her body but she must be willing no matter what."

Saphira instantly turned to Elise.

"If you are to live a different life, will you choose it? A life different from what you have experienced. Much much better."

Tear dropped from her little face.

Elise was too weak to hear what Phoneix was saying but she can still hear Saphira.

"If such... a thing... is... possible... Then how wonderful it would be... I'd love... to have that... even if I have... to experience more pain now..."

Saphira sniffed before she turned to Phoenix once again, "Let's do it."

Reginald and Radcliff silently watched the sudden turn of events in front of them.

Saphira was still crying as she followed Phoenix instructions.

She cried even more when Elise was shrieking despite being weak.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It will be over soon. I'm sorry for bringing you here. I should have brought you somewhere else."

Elise slowly looked at her and seeing her pained look, she shook her head, suppressed her pain and mouthed, "No... you... are... saving me... again."

Seeing Saphira's look, Elise knew if she were to shout in pain, Saphira would also be in pain.

Saphira bit her lip as she shook her head, "I hurt you by bringing you here."

"I... was dying... on the cave..."

Though it was difficult, Elise wanted to say this to Saphira.

She had wondered how Saphira had been all this time.

Seeing her reaction upon seeing her, Elise knew Saphira was unaware of what had happened to her.

That is why she was mustering as much strength as she can in order for Saphira not to feel guilty over what had happened.

She knew she was dying on the cave if not for Saphira getting there and finding her.

She wouldn't have enjoyed another months of simply being a child.

She may have been taken because they found out that she has a self healing ability, an ability as rare as the mythological beasts.

But she also met Hunter and Ridge and she got the chance to play with them and celebrate her birthday.

All those happy times, she wouldn't have been able to experience it if Saphira didn't find her.

Nevertheless, she can see that Saphira was still being pained by what she was doing now.
