CHAPTER 275: You Saved Her

She wanted to say that Saphira was saving her but she could no longer muster any strength to speak.

Saphira kept apologizing until the moment that Elise stopped breathing and her body was burnt to ashes.

Saphira was crying so hard as she waited for some movements on the ashes that remained, she clenched her hands into fists, stubbornly staring at the ashes.

Seeing her look, Radcliff and Reginald was even more pained.

If Elise really wouldn't be reborn, then Saphira would be hurt even more.

But they trusted her Phoenix, because not every beast has such close relationship to their hosts.

They watched how these interacted and they knew that Phoenix treats Saphira dearly, he wouldn't say something he wasn't sure of.

He won't deliberately hurt Saphira.

And there and then little by little a baby emerged.

Saphira reached out with all her tears and snot, as she cried with relief watching the movements of the baby.

She slowly reached to the hand of the wailing baby.

And once this little hand grabbed hold of hers, the baby stopped crying.

Saphira laughed as she cried.

Then she slowly turned to Reginald and Radcliff who was stupefied.

"I promised her... I promised her a different life... Can you... Can you do that? I'll do anything in exchange of it... It's my fault she suffered..."

Looking at the crying five year old child, blaming herself for the misfortune of someone else.

Their hearts were pricked and was ashamed.

Reginald smiled and squatted down in front of her, he wiped her face.

"I will make sure she will have a wonderful life ahead. Don't worry, let's fulfill your promise, hmmm?"

Saphira cried more and turned to look at the child.

"I'm sorry, please live happily."

She used her fire to allow her to reach the baby on the table before placing a soft kiss on her temple as she fell asleep.

"Live happily now."

Then she collapsed, Reginald got hold of her.

"This rebirth is a one time thing, if this child dies again, that would be the end," Phoenix reminded Reginald before entering Saphira.

Reginald turned to Radcliff as he carried Saphira.

"I will contact Reuben Byron of Atria Kingdom. He is a good friend of mine, trustworthy enough. And he and his wife is currently wishing to have a daughter. I know they will be able to take care of this child."

Radcliff nodded his head as he carried the little baby who now has pink hair and eyes.

"For such children to experience all this at such a young age, just what are we, adults, doing?" Radcliff couldn't help but ask.

Reginald sighed, "Go on and take care of this child. No one must know what had happened here. I will explain to Archie about Saphira but I wish this little girl will forget it instead."

Radcliff did as he was told.

He secretly had someone take care of the baby girl while Reginald gave Atria Kingdom a call.

Then after everything was over, the little girl was secretly brought over to Atria Kingdom where a new identity was made for her.

It was just a good thing that the queen has the same color of hair and eyes as her current one.

She also stayed in closed doors having only one maid with her.

She was sick and was recuperating, the arrival of the little girl brought more joy to her, she instantly fell in love.

A story of her being pregnant was then easily created.

Reginald also found a chance to ask Phoenix if the little girl will remember it to which he replied that she won't.

All her memories will be erased.

Reginald still asked about Elise, now known as Elizabeth, and what he heard was that she was indeed living wonderfully.

As for the poison making building, losing all trust towards the people in there, Reginald tasked the Amethyst Family to take it under their care as well.

And for them to see if there are more who were actually evil.

The orphanage was turn upside down as well, the children in it were placed on other places.

(End Of Flashback)

"I was wondering at first why the emperor was looking at me at our first meeting with Elizabeth, as if he was trying to see something in me. I finally understand why," she added after a while.

"Then she really was alive," Ridge commented.

He couldn't help but to laugh in relief.

How much tortured were they because of what happened?

Now knowing that she didn't die, even though it was still a painful experience, her being reborn without the memories of it, Ridge was seriously relieved.

The heavy burden in his heart, even Hunter, it was finally lifted.

Even though they were unable to save that child, Saphira was able to do it.

She had saved them as well, from the guilt that was gnawing at them all this time.

"That one year of not being outside. Of no one seeing you, it was because you saved her," Hunter followed.

Saphira shook her head, "I didn't, it was I who brought her there. So I was also the one who brought her pain. Me helping her was simply to payback what I did."

Until now upon remembering, she still felt that things would have been different if she didn't bring Elise in the Empire and instead brought her somewhere else.

But it was true, she had to recuperate from that excessive power she used. She was still a child and what she did was enough to put an adult into bed for three months.

It was a no brainer that she was recuperating for a year.

Hunter, who was behind her, wrapped his arms around her neck.

"No, you saved her. You weren't the one who brought her in that institute. I am pretty sure she must have been happily living in the orphanage when those people found her. And when all is despair, it was you who brought her out. Twice, you saved her twice. Because if she was left alone on that cave, she would have died."
