CHAPTER 276: For Being Patient With Us

He burried his face on her hair, "Thank you Saphira. Thank you for being you. Thank you for being alive."

Saphira reached out and held his arm, "Hmmm."

"Thank you," Ridge also said.

The others looked at Saphira, she was the unluckiest between the seven of them.

Faced with so much.

She had to bare the burden of the death of her sister, the burden of the death of the elite squad, the burden of the secret about the real faces of the three members of the elite squad.

Yet as if that was not enough, they realized that she was holding more as they progressed in this mission.

The six of them were actually the luckiest to have her, because she had saved them over and over again in many ways than one.

She was really a guardian angel for them.

Hunter rubbed his face on her hair, "I am serious Saphira, Elise was grateful towards you."

He let her go and made her face him.

"Back then while we spend time with her, she had spoken about a savior who gave her a new lease in life. And as she spoke of that person, her eyes were brimming with happiness and gratefulness. We did try asking her if she wants to meet her again, but she rejected saying that she didn't want to trouble her more. She was adamant that we let it go not knowing it was you all along."

Saphira looked at his eyes.

"She was grateful towards you and I know even this second life that she has now, she was grateful that you gave her this chance. Just as Ridge and I could finally let go of that past, you have to now as well. Because Elise is living her life to the fullest. She wouldn't have had it if it weren't for you."

Finally she smiled, "Yes, I can finally say that she is living her life much much better than back then."

They returned their eyes on the family who shows so much love towards Elizabeth.

Hunter chuckled, "It seems this time around, we are no longer late."

He was referring to himself, Ridge and Saphira.

They all felt they were late back then when she was experimented on.

But now, they were able to save her before she suffered more.

They found her buried within the bodies of her people, counting time before her death.

Yet before all is hopeless for her, they actually found her. Saved her from her demise and was even able to bring her back to her family.

"Yes, indeed," Ridge replied pushing his glasses up but his eyes were red with emotions.

Saphira nodded her head as well.

Their friends were happy for them.

They are finally able to let go of another burden in their lives.

They finally had the chance to move forward once again.

Soon they bid the place goodbye.

They chose not to say goodbye to the family.

They didn't want to disrupt Elizabeth's current life by showing emotions that will confuse her.

They knew they wouldn't be able to hide their overwhelming emotions.

Saphira knew clearly because when she opened her eyes, she felt like crying when she saw Elizabeth.

It took all of her control just to speak normally with her.

If they are to interact more, she wouldn't be sure if she would be able to stop herself.

Because for her, Elizabeth wasn't only Elise but also Fifi.

It was Fifi's fire that was integrated in Saphira's body taht allowed Elise to be reborn.

And so, Saphira felt more connection to her now.

Though it was something she really didn't feel before remembering everything, but now, it was so obvious. She felt so emotional.

Fifi and Elise was alive through Elizabeth.

And so, leaving a letter behind, they quietly left the kingdom, intending to finally return to Draco Empire.

After reading the letter of farewell, Elizabeth didn't cry or felt that it was too bad, instead she looked outside the window and smiled.

"I will become stronger from here on out and will do my best to help in any way that I can. So live as well, keep living happily even with the burden you all are carrying. And one day I hope I could meet you all again, by then I know I can lift my head in front of you and say, I am stronger."

*****

"So you have remembered?" Reginald asked.

Saphira gave him a call after they left Atria Kingdom.

Hunter and the rest didn't inform them about Saphira's temporary memory lost.

They simply said that she was resting when they called the day after she broke down.

Hunter then told them that Saphira will contact them once she is fine.

No longer wanting to disturb her, they relented and waited for her call.

The call arrived just now and the first thing Saphira said was about Elise.

"Thank you, your majesty. For fulfilling my promise to her of her having a better life," she said sincerely.

Reginald shook his head with a gentle smile, "It was still you who allowed her to have such a life, we were simply following through."

Then he turned serious, "How about you?"

Hunter had told her that Felix showed the world about her breaking down.

And now Felix was looking aggrieved while massaging his cheek, Nixon was tasked not to heal him after she punched him on the cheek.

"I am fine now, better than ever. Please do tell my family that as well," Saphira replied.

She only punched Felix once because she didn't want the attention but he went ahead and even showed such an embarrassing thing to the world.

Seeing as she truly was fine, Reginald smiled.

"Thank you, all of you, for being patient with us adults."

They once again felt shy by this sudden thank you attack.

Nevertheless they still smiled at him.

"We have grown up, that's all there is to it," Saphira voiced out what they all thought.

Reginald was put to ease by her words.
