CHAPTER 324: Move For Love?

The group of eight heard of the fact that Gideon and Lerissa were sent to check the condition of the imperial prison.

"Is your brother making a move already?" Saphira asked Hunter.

Hunter simply raised an eyebrow at her, whether his brother indeed is making a move, that has nothing to do with him. Plus he should have done it from the get go. Why wait for so longer before making a move?

Saphira laughed.

"What move?"

They turned to Ridge.

"Move for love?" Saphira replied.

"Love? Hunter's brother? Prince Gideon?"

Saphira instantly turned agape as she turned to look at Hunter.

At this moment, the beasts are the ones taking in the light ability from Vermilion Bird while Saphira had the lot of them take a rest before they continue.

"Is this a dense question? Or a slow one?" she asked Hunter.

Stormie, who was on the side, laughed upon hearing her question.

"I think he is being dense right now Saphira."

"Huh?!?" Ridge couldn't accept the fact that this was coming from Stormie.

"It is the truth though," Nixon followed making Ridge even more indignant.

"Seriously?" Saphira asked Willow, Drake and Felix.

The other two nodded their heads while Felix was the only one who shrugged as he really ahs no idea of what is going on.

The moment they heard that Gideon and Lerissa were sent together to work on the condition in the imperial prison, they already have the idea of what is going on.

Gideon could have been joined by someone else in the potion making department yet he was accompanied by the one leading it.

Indeed as the one leading it, Lerissa has more things to share and could see more things but there are others who had been joining him in the past.

Not in the imperial prison but on other matters regarding the empire.

This was the first time that he was joined by Lerissa.

Taking other things into account, the six of them came up with this conclusion.

It's just, Saphira didn't expect that one of the closest would not know of it.

"Is it because she is his sister?" Saphira asked them again causing the others to laugh.

"What the hell!!" Ridge was already red in anger.

"Chill, but seriously Ridge, all these years, have you really not realized what was going on around your sister?" Saphira finally decided to ask him properly.

"Other than the fact that she became the head of the potion making department. I think she still the same. Having her own world."

"Ah," Saphira reacted.

"Now I understand," she looked at the others.

"What?" Stormie asked.

"It runs in the blood."

"Huh?!?" Ridge was getting more confused.

"You two are in your own worlds and you got used in seeing your sister in her own world without anyone approaching her for none business reason that you think the prince approaches her only for business purposes."

"Isn't that what was going on?" he asked in a matter of fact tone.

Nixon face slapped himself, "Bro, such little things that he inquire, was the head needed to be the one he looks for? His questions could be answered by even the lowest in ranking in the potion department."

"I told you he is also in his own world," Saphira commented.

"Wait… wait… wait…"

With the way they talk, he was not so dense as to still not understand what they meant about everything.

"Are you saying that the prince has… towards my sister?"

Saphira and Stormie instantly clapped, "You are not so dense after all."

"No way," was his instant response.

"Yes way," Saphira and Stormie answered.

"No… seriously no way."

"Is there something wrong with my brother?" Hunter butted in.

"That's not what I mean," he rebuked as he backed off from Hunter.

"I mean, we are talking about my sister. THAT sister of mine."

"What of it?" Willow asked.

"Are you guys not looking properly? All her attention will always be on her potions. There is no way she could have done something that will make the prince fall for her."

"Hey, you are the same, why does it seem like you are insulting her?" Nixon rebuked.

"I am not but she… my sister is…"

"What's this? Could it be that you are not ready to let your older sister go?" Nixon teased.

"No, that's not it. Just that, I am…"

"You were so used to people talking behind your sister about her appearance that you would never think about people falling for her. Is that it?" Saphira spoke what was on his mind.

His eyes shifted, what Saphira said was what was going on in his mind.

"Don't you trust the capability of your sister?"

"Huh?!?! I obviously trust it so much, even now I am still learning from her in potion making."

"That on itself was enough to make one fall in love with her."

Ridge looked at Saphira, he didn't expect to hear such words.

"And everyone has their own choices in how they look. But isn't it that it was supposed to be what was in here that one should really look?"

She pointed at his chest.

"Most would of course look at one's appearance first but as time goes on, one may have such a beautiful appearance yet their heart was as a dark as the miasma going around."

She smiled, "I think your sister is great enough that the prince could see much more than what we can see."

"Will she not get hurt?"

All these years, he watched his sister silently held everything in. All insults she heard from the rest. She held everything in.

"I think that is a question only the prince could answer. But at the same time a decision that your sister will have to decide on her own. Whether to bet on this love or not."

Ridge sighed, "Fine, I know prince Gideon is a good guy. It was just a real shock to hear that he actually likes my sister. Just that I hope he won't hurt her."
