Chapter 34

Jacob looked to check the contents within the storage ring and his eyes widened greatly as if he had just met the Emperor of Bark Kingdom himself. Within the storage ring were many pieces of equipment and artifacts! After counting, Jacob realized that out of these forty pieces of equipment and items, four of them were able to replace what his clan had loaned to him and the other thirty six could be sold to the clan for a profit which would give him at least three hundred gold pieces!

Gripping onto the storage ring as if his life depended on protecting it, Jacob couldn't help but to cry silently to himself. Luckily, everyone within the area including the spectators were focused on the matches and did not notice that Jacob and Timothy were sitting next to each other, let alone talking.

"Thank you Tim, I will never forget this. But you better be right about us two facing the world together, because I would not expect anything less of a brother of mine!" Jacob said with light flashing in his eyes. Such a dominating aura caused Timothy to feel a slight fear as he agreed and walked away to give Jacob some time to himself.

"Very interesting, a youth who the heavens knew would be dealt very rough cards not only brought you both together, but this youth was also given the Aura of a King!" Master Sei could not help but to discuss his findings with Timothy. "He may not have the Aura of the Emperor, but simply having the Aura of the King places him in the same rarity level as your Bronze Body physique and guarantees a bright future."

"From my estimations, it would be highly unlikely that your world would be housing a cultivator of a particular stage or higher, so I can say with certain, that someone with his aura as long as not killed early, will be able to rule over a kingdom of his own if he so well wished without any backlash. Your choice in a brother was very well picked, my disciple!"

Hearing a confirmation from his master's mouth caused Timothy's body to shake greatly. Timothy genuinely wanted to bring Jacob in solely to help him out as he was helped out by the heavens due to them sharing similar experiences. However, hearing that Jacob would be such a domineering figure in the future made Timothy feel slightly afraid.

Since Jacob's future would be set in stone coupled with the fact that he was a very hard worker, it was very possible for him to reach such heights and allow darkness to take over his mind and become an overlord that would only seek destroying everyone who had caused harm to him in his life.

Master Sei also felt this way but reassured Timothy that from his gesture alone, it looked like Jacob would be much more pure moving forward now that the shackles of his sorrows were slowly coming off piece by piece with his help. This made Timothy feel much better, because it was already hard enough keeping up with others he had no relationships with, let alone, the training maniac who was now his brother in name!

The next two matches were very easy for Timothy because the last two opponents of his were even weaker than the first opponent of his during the day. Unfortunately, Timothy heard from someone that he shattered the girl's shoulder and it would take at least six months for it to heal properly. Hearing the news, Timothy made a mental note to himself to visit the girl's family personally to not only apologize, but to give some gold pieces as compensation.

Although the tournament was considered fierce, it was rather laid back as contestants continued to cheer and support those who were their friends or in their clans. Plus, it was not like they allowed any types of weapons, which meant that Timothy did indeed feel that he had wronged the girl slightly from not being used to controlling his newly found strength properly.

It did not seem that anyone besides the girl's immediate family cared about her well being very much, because her family were commoners. One or two elders did pay their respects right away, to show them some face, but otherwise, it seemed that the family was now on their own. It was a pity too, because the more Timothy thought about the girl, the harder it was to accept what he had done since she was rather cute.

Soon after all of the first round's matches were completed, the judges and elders who called out the numbers for each match got together in order to make sure that the next round would be accurate. Out of the nearly two hundred contestants, only forty eight of them had a perfect winning record, and they needed to fairly put the next round together properly.

Since this was the case, they announced that the next round would begin in one hour and for everyone to treat this as a short intermission. Hearing this, Timothy looked over and saw Jacob talking to who seemed to be his mother since their features looked very similar, more than some of his clansmen who participated in the tournament.

And so, Timothy still felt very well rested and as if he did not need to focus on recovering any energy, he decided to pay a short visit to that girl's home to handle these affairs of his. He found out after the second match of his, where she had lived and after estimating, it seemed that he would have plenty of time to do this errand of his that was holding him down somewhat.

"My oh my, it seems that this disciple of mine might have a crush on that little girl who you almost literally crushed!" Master Sei said in a very teasing manner. Seeing Timothy blushing caused him to laugh even more since no one but him was able to hear what he had said.

"Master, it is because what I did was too much and as someone who makes mistakes, I must fix them as soon as I could so that the heavens do not hold it against me!" Timothy mentally told his master as his heart began to beat slightly faster. Within only the span of two minutes of casually walking at a normal pace, Timothy found the house where the family was living.
