"Now that we are on the same page, I think it is time for me to head home and to begin preparing for my trip to Mist City. Approach Erika with caution and if you could, have regular conversations with her and slowly slip her an offer but do not say anything specific or outright. I need to be the one to negotiate with her." Timothy politely ordered Jacob with a new task before walking towards the shack his family owned still.
Originally, he wanted to just head back to his home and discuss many of these matters about the journey with Master Sei, but since the shack included a large quantity of items that he had not cloned, it would be a waste to not leave without cloning them. The reason Timothy was so generous to Jacob, was because he knew that he would be making the same amount of gold pieces back by selling the items in the shack.
As he arrived, the sky had finally become dark and many of the citizens of the village were in their own homes and discussing the events that happened during the day. This was a great time for Timothy to clone all of these items and materials because not a single person would even be watching him. Theoretically speaking, Timothy was able to simply touch an item with one hand while holding his storage ring in the other to prevent the clone from being seen and directly entering the storage ring. But as his master had put it, it was better to be safe than to be sorry.
Although having so many items to clone was a big positive, the negative part of it was that it took Timothy almost the entire night going item by item. He needed to clone each item and stack it in an empty corner and by the end, so that not even his family would ask him questions, he had to put each item back where he had found it. Thanks to his cultivation level in Energy Refinement, his memory was much better compared to an ordinary human's memory, but the time the process itself took was very long and drawn out.
Finally finished, Timothy instantly fell asleep as his master kept watch outside of the window in the very back of the shack. To his estimates, Timothy had roughly three hours to rest before the sun would begin to rise. Master Sei wanted Timothy to arrive in Mist City before the night, because that was the best way for him not to be noticed since he would be arriving alone and he looked no older than twelve years old even with his Bronze Body physique.
"Do not worry so much mother, I will be heading back as soon as I can. There is the tournament which was postponed until a later time, and I am too young to live on my own even if I wanted to!" Timothy told his mother as he chose to eat breakfast with his family before heading out to Mist City.
"Now dear, you knew since he was born, that eventually this son of ours would grow up and eventually leave. You do not have to cry so much, look at him, your reaction is making him feel like double guessing his decision which would not be good for his growth into adulthood eventually!" Timothy's father said as he wrapped his arms around his wife.
"It does not change the fact that he is my baby!" Timothy's mother shouted before wiping the last of her tears off of her face. From what Timothy had told them, they understood that he would be starting an official business with some of his funds and would be spending at least a few days in Mist City to handle these affairs of his.
Knowing that there were many experts in Mist City, Timothy's father actually gave him seven hundred gold pieces in order to find a replacement trustworthy guard since Martin was retired now. Since he had protected Boulder Village the best he could and selflessly, the mayor gifted him a small personal place for himself and a small yearly salary to make him as comfortable as possible.
There were many treasures and elixirs that were available within this world that could grow lost limbs, but it was obvious that even the mayor could not personally find one to use, otherwise, there would be much less losses from the attacks. Timothy knowing this, really did have pity on those who the heavens chose to ignore in such a way. He could not help but to feel even better from the gifts that were given to him, even if it seemed to also give him bad luck in the process!
"Then with everyone on the same page, I will be taking my leave. My new friend Jacob will not be joining me because he has some responsibilities with his clan. Do not worry though, I will try to find a guard the moment I enter Mist City to ease your minds." Timothy told his family as he chose to hold little Joshua once more before finally setting out on his short journey.
Since he was in a bit of a rush to get things done and the potential dangers of demon beasts causing a surprise attack and killing him, Timothy chose to head out differently compared to before. Due to reaching Elementary level three as a dual cultivator and Mist City being rather close to Boulder Village, he chose to just run there without a horse. At the moment, since he was not even wearing his weapon on his back or to his side, Timothy was now much faster than an ordinary horse.
In many cases, if a cultivator felt the need to head somewhere far away and they did not want to waste any of their own energy, they would capture and use different types of demon beasts as their mounts. Not all demon beasts were considered to be hostile towards humans, and there were specific types that were horse-like that fell into this category.
