As he had expected, instead of backing up, the female did not mind him closing the distance between them as she let out a motion with her hand which caused the whip to hit the balding man's torso. However, to her surprise, the balding man did not even feel the need to pause his advancement towards her!
As if he was cutting down a very weak and skinny tree, the balding man swung his ax, slicing off the female cultivator's right hand which was still holding onto the whip. A loud and painful scream could be heard as she used all of the strength in her body to back away from the balding man. The judge of the battle declared that she had lost the battle as a doctor rushed onto the stage to help begin the healing process.
It was not a battle to the death, so the balding man only chopped off her hand but also in a very clean manner. This way, the doctor could easily reattach it using both his knowledge and skills as a doctor. Similar to a blacksmith, a doctor's level was determined on both their knowledge and skills, but also their cultivation level. The reason was, because many advanced medical techniques, required a specific level or stage of cultivation just to perform it properly.
As the female was dragged off the stage, the balding man continued to raise his fists into the air since he had won so quickly and to bask in the glory of the cheers coming from the spectators including Timothy. Up until this point, Timothy never had the chance to witness an actual battle between two Intermediate stage cultivators who were actually able to showcase such abilities.
Although he did not want to admit it, the quality of the experts in Mist City was much higher compared to Boulder Village. He was unsure if it was due to so many powerful organizations recruiting experts to train or the schools, but this still made him feel good. The reason was because if he could also enter a school, he would find it much easier to catch up to those just within Boulder Village alone.
However he could get an edge for the future, Timothy worked very hard so that he could find them no matter how big or small. He already had many treasures in which he could clone and sell for quite a big profit, but wealth was only a single aspect that determined how high a cultivator was able to climb within the world. And so, he continued to pay attention to all of the fights.
Little by little, Timothy continued to gain some insights by watching each and every fight, and what was great for him, was that some of the fights that had the biggest impacts on him, were the ones that lasted the longest. Over the course of a single hour and watching six different battles, Timothy felt as if he was able to save at least an entire year of cultivating and training.
Unfortunately, out of the twelve fighters he had seen so far, only one of them was an Energy Refinement cultivator of the earth element like him. Still, just seeing the different ways other cultivators used their own elements or even their physical strength to fight was worth its weight in gold. As the seventh fight began, Timothy began to close his eyes, because he felt that he was about to breakthrough into the Elementary level four as an Energy Refinement cultivator!
Seeing that their new friend was about to break through just by watching some fights, caused everyone at the table to be proud, yet slightly jealous. They could tell that he was already on a difficult path not taken by the majority of cultivators and not being slowed down due to it, but to increase his understanding of utilizing the natural energy within him just by watching a handful of fights, was actually able to allow him to breakthrough rather quickly.
Just as if an ordinary person were to work their bodies hard enough, they could have a low level of cultivation in Body Refinement, depending on one's understanding of nature energy, one could increase their level of cultivation. Therefore, what they were seeing, was not incredibly rare, but it was more about the fact that Timothy seemed to be quite far from breaking into the next level and instantly here he was about to.
Only fifteen minutes later, Timothy finally opened his eyes and sat back down in the chair with a smile on his face. There were many present who were confused on why it seemed like a cultivator that George seemed close to, was so low leveled in the first place. Once he finished advancing, those around him used their force to assess his real cultivation level. When they deducted that he was a dual cultivator, the pieces to the puzzle finally began forming together.
"Not bad Timothy, hey Jack, it is safe to say now that this brother of mine can be considered a genius, right? Why not bring him to your master for an evaluation later on so that he could join the Holy Sword Institute even as an outer member since I am sure you might have one or two more slots available." George told Jack in front of everyone at the table.
"I was already planning on introducing him to several of my senior brothers and sisters when he was available to make a visit to my school, but I am sure I can arrange something with my master." Jack replied as he smiled towards Timothy. It was not that he was seen as a genius, it was that he was able to reach such a level in cultivation at such a young age.
The average dual cultivator within Mist City would reach the same level as him around the age of fifteen, which put him in the top ten percent. However, it was only Mist City, if he were to be compared to the rest of Bark Kingdom, he would be barely reaching the average. But to a school like the Holy Sword Institute, they still wanted the top students that were not associated with any major or noble clan.
