Chapter 84

"You called me over, but it looks like you already had everything under control. You are quite a troublemaker and now you have no respect for your elders. Tell me, why should I not kill you alongside all of these other humans?" the massive demon beast asked the middle aged man as the smaller demon beasts surrounded everyone including Timothy. Clearly, it did not appreciate how the middle aged man chose to react in such a situation and bother it, most likely from sleeping soundly.

"Lord Trident, I was tasked by my master to head over and to serve you wholeheartedly. It was not my intention to use you as I just had, but I was unsure if I would successfully get through my bottleneck and advance to the Master stage of cultivation in time. Not only is the Stone Kingdom's military formations powerful, but they also increase the speed of the experts who made them."

"My master also gave me another order and it was to update you on the current status of his plans. You are now my new lord, but as a disciple of the Dark Church, I am still obligated to hand over information given to me by an executive of the church even if you wish to cripple or kill me afterwards!" The middle aged man pleaded with the demon beast while kowtowing several times.

"Very well, I suppose you brought me a snack even if it was not intentional. Your reward for doing so will of course be able to serve my needs in the future. As for all of you, strip those four soldiers of all their weapons and equipment and bring everything over including them!" the massive demon beast told the other demon beasts who were clearly also its servants.

Without a slight hesitation, the demon beasts headed over to capture and contain the four human soldiers while only four remained close to Timothy so that he would be unable to escape. Since their master did not mention anything about him yet, the demon beasts were unwilling to even touch Timothy.

The four soldiers were still in their formation as they tried to fight their way out of the demon beast horde that they were now right in the middle of. However, they were only able to kill two demon beasts before the last of their energy faded away and the formation finally broke down. Now knowing their fate, the four soldiers surrendered and handed over all of their possessions except for the clothes that they were wearing under their military armor.

One of the many demon beasts who looked to be stronger than the others surrounding them collected everything before turning into a humanoid like form and placing chains on the soldiers. It happened fairly quickly, but the so-called Lord Trident received the possessions and the soldiers as he sat down cross legged.

"Normally, I would just eat these four soldiers, but it seems like they knew quite a bit about you human. Since they chose to surrender, I am obliged to allow them to hand over all of the information that they have about this world in general, but I have no uses for these possessions of theirs." it told the middle aged man as it began pondering over something.

Suddenly an idea seemed to pop into its mind as it looked over at Timothy before gesturing for his demon beast servants to escort him over to him. Timothy had no way to fight back, so he walked over with the demon beasts. Once he made it in front of the leader of the demon beasts, two of the four that escorted him over forced him to bow towards their master while pulling his hair to lift his head to face it.

"You are too young to have any real value even as a meal. I will give you a chance to live out your life, but in exchange you must do something for me. What do you say child?" the demon beast asked Timothy as its tongue began moving in a weird and seductive kind of way.

"I will do as you wish, but if it concerns betraying the human race, I am afraid that I would rather seek death!" Timothy replied as a flash of light shone from his eyes. He was currently not able to negotiate, but the last thing he was, was a traitor to his entire species. Such pride could only be experienced in the face of an overpowered demon beast that could kill him with only a flick of its finger!

"You will be bringing these possessions of the soldiers back with you to their base. I noticed that you had come in the complete opposite direction which means that you were already planning on heading in that direction. You just have to tell whoever was in charge of them, that this man's bounty is to be lifted, and I will keep our peace treaty intact for the time being." it told Timothy before gesturing for the two other demon beasts to let go of him.

"You could also tell them that I will be eating those four, but that will be up to you to decide. Last my scouts reported, the general of that kingdom's military who is in charge of the defenses is rather fond of all of the soldiers under him. If he chooses to send every last soldier over to avenge these four, I would be shocked, but we would simply eat them all in a large feast." Lord Trident told Timothy after passing the storage ring over which fit everything into it.

"Good luck on your journey, and if you decide that you want to kill any more of the demon beasts within my territory, I will personally use all of my forces and we shall attack Stone Kingdom and burn it to the ground even after I find and consume your tender body!" it told Timothy as they all began to head back to the waterfall area.
