Since it would only be a one off match, the audience would still be present, and it would take place in between rounds for a select tournament. If Timothy and Cole were to not hold back, it was possible for them to recruit even more experts present in the coliseum, into the organization. And so, the two were taken into separate rooms to prepare for their match.
Timothy wanted to actually increase his overall wealth when it came to gold pieces he had on hand, so he handed over all of the cloned items he had to the male attendant who showed him to the room as well as all of the demon beast corpses. This actually shook the attendant from seeing such a large amount of wealth from a child that looked to not even be a teenager yet. After looking through the contents, the attendant bowed and left in order to quickly show one of the managers on the floor who dealt with setting up prizes in each tournament.
Shortly after, the attendant returned with an offer of sixty thousand gold pieces for everything that Timothy had given to him. Timothy agreed and received the storage ring and counted out all sixty thousand gold pieces before gesturing for the attendant to leave him until it was time for his match. This was out of expectations, but Timothy was still extremely pleased. According to Master Sei, the coliseum may have lacked demon beast corpses whether to give them as prizes, or to take them apart piece by piece and to use the parts to add ingredients to create other treasures which would make for much higher tiered prizes for tournaments.
Because he had handed so many items and received more than fifty thousand gold pieces from doing business with the coliseum, Timothy was also given a small bronze tag that allowed him to access different types of perks within the coliseum, including free access to any tournament he wished. This would not necessarily be considered the greatest gift at the moment, but it was transferable to others, so he could add it to the collection of items for his organization to use while trying to negotiate or network with others!
Normally speaking, organizations that relied on networking as their number one source of building their worth through trading such as his merchant company, there would be a big need for the organization to have at least a small handful of useful tags such as this even in expensive restaurants to be able to solidify the deal that they were looking for.
As minute by minute passed by, Timothy was debating with himself how to approach his match with Cole. Cole had at least let him know that he was an Intermediate level two Energy Refinement expert who had a high elemental affinity for the water element. However, according to Cole, he did not actually have the same techniques that Timothy's previous opponent had used against him which made him nearly lose the match.
The two decided that they would allow each other to use weapons during the match, so Timothy was rather eager to see how he could use his pole in order to dominate Cole as long as he was able to get close enough to him that is. Since he was a dual cultivator, Timothy still had somewhat of an advantage since if he ran out of battle Qi, he could still battle Cole with his energy and vice versa. So really, Timothy was just deciding on what made sense to start the battle off with, whether he would go head to head with Cole as Energy Refinement experts, or if he would try to dominate Cole in close combat and if he were to run out of battle Qi, just use the energy in his body to deal a finishing blow.
After pondering it over for a period of time, Timothy just felt that since it was just a normal match with no real rewards, that he would just choose when the two were about to face off. The male attendant returned about seven minutes later in order to escort him to the arena. Since their match would be taking place in between rounds of a tournament, it meant that they were going to battle immediately instead of being given a waiting room.
As Timothy approached the stage, he noticed that Cole's overall demeanor changed. He now looked as if he was an old man in a younger man's body as even the steps he was taking to reach his corner of the arena, were filled with a mysterious type of energy. Timothy of course heard what was actually happening with Master Sei commenting on the matter. "I am unable to tell you what type of aura he has, but from the looks of it, he must have come from a very influential clan who had a very special movement type of technique available." he told Timothy.
Some things were starting to make a little more sense, but now Timothy had even more questions to ask Cole. Usually if a younger generation individual was not able to keep up with their peers, in most cases the clan would at the very least continue to shelter their families hoping that once they had a child, the child would make up for the lack of talent of his or her parents. However, there were clans who could not afford to house such members and would send them off to the outside world while debating whether or not to keep the parents which would be determined by the overall karma they accumulated aiding the clan in its affairs.
From what he could gather from his opponent, it seemed like Cole was in fact one of those children whose parents abandoned just to retain even a low standing within his former clan. Still, Timothy decided that no matter what kind of back story Cole had, he would do his best and try to win against him. Blood would never lie, and if he was a direct descendant of a powerful clan, as long as he aided him in his growth, Timothy felt that Cole was worth keeping by his side similar to how he had felt about Jacob, just not as close personally speaking.
