Chapter 94

"I suppose that sounds fair, so what will our yearly salary be between the seven of us?" Cole asked Timothy as if he really did like the words that came out of his mouth. Even if they were to just work for a short period of time for Timothy, it would also be possible for the merchant company to be soaked up by a much larger one, allowing them to have more opportunities in the future.

"I can give everyone a total of five hundred gold pieces for the first year. As for extended contracts, I could offer other bonuses such as cultivation methods, martial arts techniques of high level, and I could also offer a handful of treasures. Not just that, but I could also potentially supply each of you with decent equipment and a weapon depending on your individual needs." Timothy replied after looking as if he was crunching the numbers.

RIght now between Cole's group of experts and the other individual experts who had made their way over, if they all agreed to join his merchant group, then he would have twelve new employees to take care of and would have to pay an entire six thousand gold pieces, unless he negotiated and Master Sei helped him by gifting him several techniques that these new employees could use.

The first to agree to Timothy's proposal was the five individual experts. They looked to be roughly twenty five years old each and were around the Elementary level five in their cultivations. After negotiating with them, Timothy was able to only pay them three hundred gold pieces each and actually handed the fifteen hundred gold pieces with a contract proposal which they had all signed.

The additional two hundred gold pieces of value would come from them being able to access the merchant company's library which Master Sei had already begun working on many decent techniques and cultivation methods that Timothy could create scrolls with. Seeing that Timothy was able to give out so much gold this fast and easily, caused Cole's face and the rest of his group to change in a shocked expression.

Once the group finished discussing things with Timothy, Cole and his group actually accepted the same deal only being three hundred gold pieces but unlimited access to the library which would be created as soon as they left and found a proper place for Timothy to build the official headquarters.

"Hey, since you will be my boss, I want to see for myself just how strong you are. How about we both enter into a one on one match while we are here in Tornado City, this way I can trust that following you for a long term period of time will be more beneficial for my group and I?" Cole suggested to Timothy. He was after all the one Intermediate stage expert who was just recruited by someone who was still in the Elementary stage of cultivation.

As one would expect in a world like this, money did indeed talk louder than words and there were several powerful organizations that were owned by even an ordinary family. However, due to the sheer amount of wealth said family accumulated over the course of their founding, they were able to recruit even an immortal to protect them and their headquarters. Cole was more than happy to serve Timothy for a period of time if it allowed him to accumulate a small fortune and increase his strength, but what he wanted to figure out was if Timothy was worth serving for a long term period of time or even for his entire existence?

"Sure we could do that. And if I were to lose, I will immediately give you the title of Executive, so that you will be able to be in charge of everyone I recruit from here on out. Not only that, but a while ago when I was thinking about what type of organization to create, I came to the conclusion that those I deem worthy for an Executive title, will also be given a fairly large yearly bonus just like those who are in high positions in other more prominent organizations!" Timothy replied with a smile on his face.

This was actually perfect for him, because since Cole was already an Intermediate stage expert, it would allow him to live much longer compared to an ordinary human. With a much longer life span, Timothy felt that if he was able to give Cole an offer he could not refuse, that Cole would indeed be an employee that would remain one for his entire life as long as Timothy continued giving him reason to be.

Plus, what Timothy needed right now more than anything else was a manager type figure who would be a permanent employee of his who was in fact also a cultivator that was also trustworthy. Since Cole had no real background, there was no reason for him to betray Timothy, and by keeping Cole close to the chest, his manager position would always be filled, including having at least the other six employees from those who made Cole their leader.

Without having a background, Cole was able to recruit six experts under him that would follow him no matter what. So if he was given an Executive role within the organization, Timothy wondered how many more employees that Cole would be able to take in that were also rather high quality individuals? Just the thought of this had Timothy feel that he had indeed made the right choice as Cole nodded in agreement to his offer.

"As we are putting in our request for a match, you should all keep an eye open for those who would also like to be taken in by our organization. Do not worry about how much it would cost, I can guarantee the amount needed for the first year could be paid as long as they are willing to take the same contract as all of you had earlier." Timothy told everyone in their large group before handing the individual Cole recommended to hold a storage ring full of contracts to hand them out to those who qualified.
