Chapter 93

"That is all that I ask, my disciple. You could do quite a bit with that ability of yours and even command legions of people, but if you do not know how to properly plan out your every move and read your opponent, they could kill every last person you send over. I just do not want to see you make the mistakes that I have made until I became who I was able to become." Master Sei told Timothy as he looked towards the heavens before heading back into the metal ball.

Timothy felt a little out of place, but all he could do now was to use the last battle as a learning experience so that he could move forward on his path. It was clear that his opponent was physically much weaker compared to him, but through her planning and execution, she completely outclassed him to the point where his advantages were nothing more than simple words.

Timothy could hear cheers and screams all of the way to the area he was in. Shortly after, an attendant walked in and told him the situation. It turned out that three of the last ten matches were so even, that the winners sustained quite a few severe injuries. As a way to quell the crowd, it was decided that the tournament would end with everyone receiving proper compensation.

Timothy wanted to redeem himself by possibly winning the entire tournament, but it seemed like that would not be the case as the attendant handed him two hundred gold pieces; the highest amount that could be given to him. Still, Timothy felt that him entering into the tournament must have raised at least some eyebrows since a good amount of people ended up bidding on him to continue winning.

Now it was just about him showing his face, and hopefully being able to meet with those individuals to both network and potentially recruit them for his company. And so after fully recovering his energy and battling Qi, Timothy made his way out of the area and into the public area where many people were talking to some of the other contestants and to each other.

As people began to spot Timothy walking over, some groups made their way to the side as a small handful of others walked over into his direction, clearly looking to speak to him. There were only seven people, but they were all at least of the Elementary stage, while one expert was an Intermediate stage.

They were all looking forward to speaking to Timothy since it was clear that he may have lacked some experience, but was still very dominant within the competition. Normally, it would be rare for someone without an esteemed background to be placing high in competitions within the coliseum, so whenever there were, others who lacked a background worth talking about, would try to network with said experts.

Timothy was surprised, because out of all the experts who had approached him, he found out that he most likely would be able to defeat them cleanly in battle, possibly even including the one Intermediate stage cultivator who should have been more than capable to defeat him in a one on one setting due to a difference between an entire stage of cultivation!

The Intermediate stage cultivator was named Cole and the more Timothy discussed matters with him and the rest, the more he had a good impression of him. "So Cole, since you are a local in Stone Kingdom, does that mean that you are backed by a powerful organization? Or do you have something different set up?" Timothy asked Cole as the others allowed the two to talk.

"I could only dream of being chosen to join a powerful organization or clan as an outer member. In Stone Kingdom, it is much easier to get things done using others as your backing. I am sure that I could head to Bark Kingdom and be accepted into even the stronger organizations that exist within the kingdom, but I am just a commoner in the eyes of the other locals." Cole replied with a depressed look on his face.

"That is why us seven cultivators have been sticking together for some time, because there is always a chance that due to our numbers, someone would be willing to take us in. We also have different types of specializations for example, he is a blacksmith, she is a carpenter, while the rest have experience in other types of areas. As for me, I am a rather experienced manager type person which is why even though my cultivation is higher, I am also the leader of the group." Cole told Timothy as the group all found a table to sit in while speaking with one another.

"Oh? I wonder how much it would take to hire your group indefinitely into my merchant organization?" Timothy now knowing that he could simply hire this group to fill his quota goal asked them as they all began to eat a small snack.

"It would take more than just paying us off if you are looking for us to be a more permanent part of your organization. Plus, since you are an organization of just two members, one who is not present, I wonder how our group could rely on you properly?" Cole replied in a respectful tone as some other experts made their way over once they spotted Timothy. It looked like his popularity was indeed growing due to the tournament.

After gesturing to the other experts to sit with them, Timothy pondered for a minute until finally crunching the numbers and his future plans together. "I plan to eventually build an entire city using funds made from my merchant company. So not only could I promise you all high positions in the company since we have just been founded this year, but I could also give you all home and board during your time with the company, plus yearly bonuses." Timothy told everyone as the newcomer's eyes brightened.
