Chapter 112

Fortunately, even if Timothy's group was no longer able to recruit more experts to travel inside with them, there was only one clear enemy that they had to compete with. Tyler explained to Timothy that the Winged Spiders clan had always given his Blood Ridge clan some troubles. Both clans had many different enemies, but the Winged Spiders clan was also located in Sky City but was only able to be seen as the second strongest clan.

Sky City's governor forbade any violence to occur within the city walls, so it was only during situations like this, where someone from each clan would be present outside of the city, that the two forces would clash. Luckily, a direct descendant similar to Tyler was present from the Winged Spiders clan, but the strongest member of their group was only at the Advance stage of cultivation. Even though the group had eleven members, it would only be enough to hinder Tyler's uncle alone, rather than their entire group.

Tyler told Timothy that the Winged Spiders clan was famous for their trap-like techniques that would corner other experts like they were caught in a spider's web. So long as they were careful while within the Ancestor's Tomb, there was no reason for them to be placed in such a situation since traps took quite a bit of time to set up. Still, Tyler made it very clear that since there were so many members of their enemy's group, it was possible to still be cornered simply due to being overwhelmed with numbers.

After roughly twenty or so more minutes came to pass, about two to three dozen more experts arrived within the area before the ground began to shake throughout. Not a single expert showed surprised expressions on their faces, because it was a sign that the Ancestor's Tomb was about to open momentarily. As Timothy and his group stood up, a large and ancient looking stone door appeared about fifty yards away from them.

"Do not worry Timothy, even if we were to be the last ones to enter into the doorway, it would not mean that our chances of finding treasure or receiving the immortal's inheritance would be worse than those who would choose to enter first. Let's just make our way over and prepare ourselves for anything that we may see upon entering." Tyler told Timothy as he put on a very durable looking suit of armor while Timothy did the same.

As their group made their way over, the young master of the Winged Spiders clan reassured his group that if they were to kill anyone in Tyler's group, that they would receive a big reward. It would be a priority for them to all search for the immortal's inheritance and treasures, but the only thing second to that, would be causing harm to Timothy's group of three. There were only four clansmen from the Winged Spiders clan that accompanied their young master, but the other six experts were from an affiliated organization that specialized in assassinations.

Experts who came from assassination type organizations would normally not care about who did not like who when it came to different powers and their rivalries. However, during a chance like this where they could simply kill other experts to their heart's content and collect a large amount of wealth in a short period of time, they would ally themselves with others who would not mind seeing them dirty their hands just as an additional support.

Hearing that they would receive a large reward from a young master who had a high standing within the Winged Spiders clan, gave them a little bit more of a reassurance that this trip would not be wasted, even if they were to search for Timothy's group for the entirety of them traveling through the Ancestor's Tomb.

After only two minutes, Timothy's group finally reached the stone doorway and passed through shortly after. The group was teleported into the small world immediately, and they realized that there was no one around them. This was strange, because there should have been no reason for those behind or before them, to have disappeared. However, Tyler's uncle was the first to explain to them that every group must have been taken to a different area from within, and that they really should begin heading towards what seemed to be the center of this small world.

The area reminded Timothy of the area his old township was located in because they were in a large forest type area, but the trees and spaces were still very spread out compared to jumbled together. And so following Tyler's uncle leading, the group headed deeper into the small world. What was interesting, was that on the ground, many different medical herbs were growing. They were all different and common herbs, so Timothy took them all without hearing any complaints.

Since the medical herbs were so common, Tyler even told Timothy that they would not hinder him as Tyler and his uncle began collecting others just to speed up the process. It could not be helped, hearing that Timothy was an owner of a merchant group, was like telling the uncle and nephew duo, that they were dealing with someone who looked at everything as if it had a price tag on it. If anything, Tyler and his uncle seemed to be enjoying themselves due to seeing Timothy's actions.

They have each run across many shameless individuals, but Timothy's shamelessness was on a much higher level. However, neither one of the two would make trouble with Timothy because due to his openness to be so shameless around them, he showed sincerity of the highest form. And so after spending roughly ten minutes, the fields full of common medical herbs were removed and given to Timothy to keep as the group headed further and further in.

Just counting the sheer number of medical herbs, Timothy quickly calculated that he now had over six hundred different types and at least two of each as well. Due to them being all low grade materials, it would prove enough for him or someone under his employment to use these medical herbs to become a level one alchemist. Timothy wanted not just many experts under his employment, but he wanted to have a specialist of every known trade.
