Pelt Gear

'First of all let's check out my status changes over the last week! Oh yeah, system show decimal places up to the tenths place.'

'I might just be able to raise my [Apprentice Crafting] to level 4 or 5 today as well!' Roy said, anticipating the completion of his new clothes.

Picking up the pelts, he laid them flat on the ground and began cutting them into the shapes he designed in the dirt.

After around an hour, Roy had all the parts cut out and began to use charcoal to plan out the holes he would poke out. Soon he had a bunch of pelt parts with black dots lining the edges.

Wiping the sweat off of his forehead, Roy began to drill out the holes by spinning the goblin tooth on the charcoal spots.

Around an hour later, he had finished all the holes and stacked the pelt parts that go together in preparation of tying them together.

'Let's see how much pelt I have left...' Roy thought, looking over to the scraps.

'Not enough to use as cordage for everything, but should definitely be enough for the shirt and pants!'

Roy happily took the scraps and began cutting them into strands to use as cordage. after completing this, he took the pelt segments for the clothes and began to knot them.

'Holy...' Shocked, Roy had completely lost his train of thought. This was the first time he had made something out of animal hide, yet he had managed to bring out the potential of a poorly refined object! He was extremely happy with the results he received.

'Let's keep this ball rolling!' Roy proclaimed as he began work on the backpack. First taking the shoulder straps, he laid them down and set the back of the first main part of the backpack that was longer on one side on top of them, making sure to line up the holes. He then began to lead the cordage into it, tying it tight and securely. Then making the bottom half of the straps loop around, before knotting them off as well.

Next he sat down the second main part on top, in the lower middle of the last. He made them intersect on each other in an upside down cross shape, adding support to the bottom of the pack. He then sowed them together in the middles before lifting the three flaps and tying them together before attaching them to the longer end.

He now had a backpack completed without the latch to hold the top closed. He looked around and found a perfectly sized goblin bone. Using the tooth, he slowly carved a hole into it, as well as two holes in the middle of the backpack and one in the bottom middle of the flap.

After that he fed the cordage into the hole in the bone and tied it to the holes in the middle of the bag. Taking another two smaller bones, he carved a small groove for the cordage to hold onto, then fed one end of the long cordage to the flap hole, the bone making it stop. He finally wrapped the long cordage with a bone attached to the other end as well around the first bone tied directly to the bag.

"Finished! BUHIHIHI!" Looking at his hard work, Roy was overjoyed. He immediately equipped all of it.

Soon, the dazzling image of a small pink orc wearing brown pelt shirt and pants, as well as a brown pelt backpack with green cordage could be seen.

Solus had been staring at him, intrigued at what he was doing. She had never before seen clothes in all of her short life. She looked at Roy, jealous of his clothes. All Roy could do was pat her head and tell her sorry.

"There isn't enough material to make more clothes. Next time we hunt a creature, I'll make you a pair as well." Roy promised to Solus. She didn't understand most of what he said, but she was appeased at his head pats.

'Now that I finally finished all of what we needed to do here, it's time to move on...' Roy thought, as he looked at the campsite they had called home the past week.

'As is the life of a nomad, never to call a place home for long.' Turning away and steeling himself, Roy collected his hatchet and placed it in the bag, letting the head rest inside as the handle stuck out slightly, also collecting the tusks of the boar and a few other bones that could be useful. He then placed Inbellis' mobile home onto his shoulder and handed the food carrier to Solus to wear.

Unfortunately, they had no way to preserve their cooked food, so most of it that they hadn't eaten had spoiled now. He had turned some into jerky and placed it into the food carrier to bring along.

All geared up, the two made their way out of the camp. They were now resuming their journey up the river!
