Memorial of a Beloved Man

"This morning on the news, a body of an ex-streamer Roy Palmer, was discovered in his apartment. Another streamer and lifelong friend of Mr. Palmer had noticed that he had gone quiet recently. Worried if something had happened to his friend, Mr. Richard had driven over to the residence. What he had discovered shocked him to the core. Poor Mr. Palmer was laying dead in front of the door, with the house key in his hand.

After an investigation the police found that the body looked like it had been through a massive allergic reaction to something, though they found no trace of an allergen in his system. And that Mr. Palmer seemed to be attempting to leave his house in a hurry, possibly in search of help." At this the news reporter began to cry lightly.

"I apologize, viewers. I was a longtime fan of Roy Palmer. His streams and videos had helped me a lot when I was younger and extremely depressed. I also know that I'm not alone in this sentiment though. It is truly a sad day for the millions of people that once supported him." At this the reporter walked off the screen, grabbing some tissues and asking her co-anchor to take over.

"Sorry about that folks, emotions are running high today. It breaks my heart to see such a good man go down in such a way. His best friend Chris Richard will be making a speech later today, so stay tuned." At that the news station switched over to the weather, but many of their viewers weren't listening anymore, they were in shock at the fact that an idol of their generation had passed in such a sad way.

...

"I know how many of you feel right now, since I too am feeling it. Roy was a great man, sure he had flaws, but so does everyone else. After his mother died, he had lost the only family he had left. He was extremely depressed, and never really got out of it either. I know many of you must had felt abandoned when he stopped streaming. I understand as well, but he told me it was just a reminder of his mother who had originally supported him to do it. She was the only person he believed actually cared for him. Never in his wildest dreams did he imagine there were actually so many of us that do.

He had told me many times of how she was his only viewer for the first portion of his streaming carrier. How she raised him on her own after his father abandoned them. She was one of the most supportive people I had ever known and raised an amazing man.

Roy inspired an entire generation of people to care for others, and themselves. To help those in need. He donated a majority of his streaming income to charity, only keeping enough money to live in a one bedroom apartment. Saying he didn't need the money, but so many others did. It comes with a heavy heart knowing that my best friend, the man who inspired you all, has died. But! Let me leave you with this.

Please, for Roy, help those in need, support yourselves but think of others as well. I will be leading by example, donating one million dollars to support the building of homeless housing here in the city. I hope that others will follow Roy and I as we try to make this world a slightly better place.

Thank you all for listening to me, have a good day." With that Chris Richard stepped off the podium, tears in his eyes, as he walked to his family that were all crying as well.

As night rolled around, Roy had made a lot of cordage. He planned to keep any extra for later in case he needed it.

'I'm kinda thankful I'm so small right now, leaves me plenty of material from a normal sized boar.' Roy thought as he looked to the pile of cooked meat to his left.

'Maybe I should start exercising today? I have plenty of protein now so I don't need to worry about over exerting myself and not having the nutrients...'

Taking a glance and feeling the pelt, Roy could tell that it would still take a long while to finish. As he had finished up his work, he went to the river with Solus to get a drink, then headed back to the camp to start his exercise routine.

'Alright! Everything starts with proper stretching, so lets get to it!' As Roy began stretching, Solus began to emulate him. Seeing her interest in what he was doing, Roy decided to help her correct her form.

"LiIke ThIis" Roy smiled while thinking his I's still need work.

After they completed stretching, Roy began some simple beginner exercises to work on his core.

30 minutes later, Roy had collapsed on the ground exhausted.

"Huh Hah Huh Hah" Roy breathed in and out heavily, trying to calm his breathing.

'Wow that was exhausting. Couldn't go more than a few seconds without needing a break either, but hey, you've gotta start somewhere I guess.' As Roy began to think back on the exercise, he started to get sleepy. He knew they couldn't sleep here in the camp, as the smell of meat would be too intoxicating to the nearby animals.

Roy motioned for the exhausted Solus to get up and help him carry his gear and meat to their hiding hole.

After a couple of trips, they had moved everything to their base, except the drying pelt and fell asleep.

...

*Yawn*

"Ugh!" Waking up the next morning Roy felt his abs were extremely sore. He started to do some simple stretches to limber up, then woke up Solus to eat.

After eating their breakfast, they went to the river to bathe, then back to the goblin camp.

'Not yet huh? Wonder how long this'll take? Oh well, it's a good opportunity to train and improve.'

"Solus! Come here!" Roy yelled lightly to get Solus' attention. He then began his English lessons, attempting to teach Solus how to at least understand him.

After he finished the lesson, he got up and began to practice his footwork and hatchet techniques. Later in the afternoon, he took a break to eat and play with Inbellis. Finally, he let the food digest before beginning his exercises.

Like this a whole week had passed.
