The village was on high alert. The party was currently hiding out under a derelict house, waiting for an opportunity to strike.
"Luckily we managed to finish clearing all of the houses, that took off a pretty good chunk of their numbers..." Roy whispered his thoughts, as the others nodded their heads in agreement.
They were currently taking a peep from a crack in the foundation they were hiding under. Even after killing so many, the goblins were coming out of the town hall like a flood.
Nearing the end of the line of goblins, a singular goblin in a robe, carrying a staff, was moving forward with a lurch.
"Seems this happened at a bad time for him, but it works greatly in our favor." Terren commented on the strange goblin that seemed to be the leader here.
"Yeah, but even if he is drunk, he is still going to be powerful. He still feels like he's in tier one, but only barely. Not to mention, there wasn't a single tier one in the houses. This is going to be extremely challenging." Roy looked out to the small horde of goblins, counting nearly fifty in total. Adding nearly fifty they had already slaughtered, this village was proving to be extremely challenging.
"Luckily, we haven't seen any host-ages so far." Solus chimed in, as she too was looking at the strange robed goblin.
"Yeah, though if there are any, they would be in the town hall." Roy then pointed to the building the goblins had just exited.
"There isn't much we can do for the potential prisoners if we're dead. I think for now, we should wait for the goblins to drop their guards, then we'll attack the weaker ones." Terren put out her thoughts, and the others nodded their heads.

"Ugh... Why toniiiiight!" Tiklan lamented, as he continued to stagger forward. All he wanted was to drink himself to sleep, yet he had been rudely awoken twice now. And this time he actually had to get up!
"UNbeweavaball... dah audasstitie to attack dah gwate me!" Tiklan's drunken speech echoed out into the night, as the goblins around him distanced themselves.
"Um... Sir, are you alright?" One of Tiklan's direct subordinates came over to him, worried about his boss' current state.
"No, I'm not." Tiklan spoke extremely clearly, with a killing intent directed at his subordinate.
"I don't have any more booze. Go get me some or else-." Tiklan placed his hand on his subordinate's head, and a black gas began leaking from it.
"R-right away sir!" The subordinate yelled out, cutting off Tiklan's words as he attempted to get away.
"Argh!" The poor goblin screamed out in pain, as it felt like he was covered in molten lava.
"Or else, I'll make the curse worse." Tiklan began laughing, as his drunkenness suddenly returned, almost like what had just happened was nothing but a dream.
Tiklan then staggered off, while the subordinate, writhing on the ground was proof enough to the viewers of the incident, that it was no illusion.

Roy and the others watched the scene, pale faced. The curse the goblin just showed off had horrible effects.
The cursed goblin, now foaming at the mouth, was attempting to crawl back into the town hall. Every movement it made, the goblin screamed in agony.
"I'll be the one to fight that goblin shaman." Roy said, staring at the drunkard.
"Roy, you can't! What if one of those curses hit you! That would basically guarantee your death! You're the slowest one of us!" Terren and Solus attempted to dissuade Roy from his reckless decision. Sadly it was falling on deaf ears, as Roy began his preparations.
...
A couple hours later, the goblins had begun to calm down, and the boss had long since fallen back asleep.
There were still some guards on high alert, but that was only about ten of the fifty remaining.
'Perfect!' Roy was looking at the south side of the village, where three of the guards were currently huddled together, searching for him.
'Time to test out if my idea works...' Roy had come up with a semi-new combo skill he wished to try out. As there were only three guards here, Solus, Terren and him could take them out quickly if things went awry.
'Two of them seem to be first tier, but they are lower than me. This should work if I can kill them before they activate their body enhancement...' Activating his [Mana Manipulation] skill, Roy cast his [Drill Shot] combo skill as well. He wrapped the mana around his tri-knives, while also using his mana as a spring behind them.
'[Enhanced Drill Shot]' Suddenly, three explosive shots fired out, and Roy was flung back! Mana enhanced discharge and torque, caused this already deadly attack to go one step further.
Roy purposely aimed towards the back of their heads, testing if the attacks could drill straight through their skulls.
*Bang*
The force of the attack threw the goblins forward, brain matter spewing out everywhere. The shot managing to instantly kill these goblins in such a bloody, scene shocking Roy and the others.

"Holy. Shit." Roy was lost for words, staring at the carnage as he balanced himself.
"I think I just had a bit of a eureka moment..." Roy said slowly, thinking of other combinations he could create using [Mana Manipulation] alongside them.
"Roy... That was insane!" Solus came over and whisper-screamed at Roy, who was still zoned out.
Snapping out of it, Roy looked up and replied, "Yeah, I never expected it to be so strong... With the amount of mana I have now, I can cast it quite a few times as well." Roy said as he looked at his MP.
"It takes about eight MP to cast, with most of that coming from the [Pierce] skill. Creating such a small piece of keratin doesn't take much effort or mana, and most of the mana used in [Mana Manipulation] isn't lost. All around, this is a really good trump card." Roy smiled as he looked down at the mangled bodies.
"I'll go grab the two Mana Hearts, then we can move on."
